Not sure who sent me this lil guy, but I'm drinking it as I watch the Chilean miner rescue live on Chile TV and... well, I raise my glass to those brave souls, soon to be rescued.
A. Fat rocky foamy eggshell head, pale gold brew. Still. Head falls fast, but leaves lace.
S. Sweet apricot honey malt, fine citrus aroma, reminds me of Sculpin. Probably some Amarillo here, it is fruity and clean. A touch of pineapple and green hop leaf - but little pine.
T. Hmm, interesting... this is a very lowly carbonated brew (intentional?), and has all kinds of fruit going on: Apricot, pineapple, orange, grapefruit. The hops are quite complimentary and give a little nip at the end; all in all, easy drinking.
M / D. Oddly cool and lowly carbonated; sort of cask-ish. Interesting... drinks easily, finish is sweet grapefruit / tropical and a bit of leafy citrus. The malt is beginning to shine too. This is a sweeter and less attenuated than many IPAs I've had lately. This is quite quick drinking and nice.
Flower Power is a fine IPA (reminds me of Stone) and while doesn't stray off the well-worn path of the hundreds before it, is surely easy and clean enough to warrant a look. I'd be happy to drink this as my go-to if I lived in Ithaca's backyard.
Oh, and Florencio Avalos is 400 meters and counting down till freedom. I raise my glass to you and all trapped souls - may you find your way back topside quickly! What a night.

Poured a honey color in a Spiegalgau glass with a 1 finger head. Slightly lighter color than most IPAs I have tasted. Carbonation bubbles from the bottom of the glass.
The aroma is not strong-citrus and tropical fruit.
The mouth feel is very carbonated.
The taste is citrus and tropical fruit.
The finish is wonderful. This is a hop bomb. Very spicy, slightly bitter, and very, very hoppy. One of the hoppiest beers I have tasted to date.
Overall, a solid IPA. The citrus is not prominent, but the hoppiness wins the day.
Best tasted close to 50°F.
