Nice color and head, but it's the aroma that got my attention. Lingering trace of lavender polishes the citrus scent.
Flavorful AIPA profile throughout with excellent mouth feel yet still light. Finishes clean. The hop pops just enough to compliment the fruitiness of the yeast . The malt never gets lost which I can't say about some of the other top AIPA's I've tried.
I would say it teeters on the pale ale /Indy border. If this is your preference then it is a must try. An enjoyable experience and one of the best of it's kind.

Ithaca Beer Company Flower Power IPA. Th Spirit of the Finger Lakes. Brewed and bottled by the Ithaca Beer Co., Ithaca, NY.

Hazy, golden hue. Small, but lasting, white head. Nice looking IPA.

Aroma: highly hopped, bursting with citrus and pine, plus pineapple, with floral notes, as well.

Taste: A hoppy monster in the mouth, with bracing bitterness right out the gate, citrus fruit, oily resins, smacking up the joint. Never quite quits, lasts long and strong on the palate. Touch of astringency, bit of an aspirin flavor, but this doesn't spoil the overall pleasure found within. In fact, it's a damn nice India Pale Ale.

You've got a keeper on your hands, Ithaca

A: center-pour into nonic pint, hazy gold body with a few fingers of tan head, sparse lace and persistent head

S: floral hops reminiscent of flowery meadows with fresh pale malt undertones

T: Simcoe, Centennial, and Citra hops for that grapefruit-ish bitter hop flavor; pale and honey malts underscore this with their bright malt flavors

M: crisp, bittering, smooth, clean, fresh finish

O: a good brew from Ithaca - sure to please hop-lovers and BAs in general
