Bottled four days ago, fresh from the brewery, poured into (appropriately) an Ithaca tulip.

A: Deep hazy copper color with a finger and a half of head. You can barely see through this sucker! Nice lacing. Beautiful.

S: Wow! This beer, more than any other I've had, has a strong grapefruit/orange aroma to it that is simply divine.

T: Huge tropical fruit tones, lemon peel, orange rind, slight malt sweetness. West coast style all the way.

M: Carbonation is adequate. Leaves a fantastic hoppy aftertaste.

O: I'm in love with this beer. So far it's the only beer I've found worthy of buying a case of without breaking my wallet. Highly recommended to anyone and everyone.

Served from bottle into snifter glasses.

A: Golden. Minimal amount of sediment, if any. Medium, white head.

S: Lots of sweetness. (Uh oh - could be a sign of an older bottle). Light pineapple/citrus notes are coming through, though.

T: A bit dull, in my opinion. After just having a hoppier DIPA, it almost tastes bland. Sure, it seems pretty well balanced, as far as hops and malt flavors go, but it's almost like drinking some slightly bitter water. Yet, there is a slight bitterness that remains in the aftertaste (possibly along with some sweetness? how does that work?). Main flavors are pretty subtle and seem to be dominated by citrusy bitterness.

M: Nothing out of the ordinary - medium body and carbonation.

O: Just not very interesting. Maybe the bottle was not too fresh and/or the serving temperature was too cold, but I'm just not feeling excited about this one.

About 2 weeks old, picked up locally.

a - classic orange with massive frothy white head with chunky lacing. Just like the growler, head hung out forever. Brew was Transparent.

s - i could smell this puppy across the room. nice citric hops. not too sweaty or sticky, but definitely a fresh hoppy ipa smell. piney but fruity. very brisk with just enough malt backbone to keep it balanced, but the hops are the superstar of the show.

t - wonderful fruity hop bouqet. Mango and peach and less pine. Some malt for balance, but floral hops leadnthe way.

m - medium bodied...a balanced hop fiesta. Finishes a tad bitter.

o - overall, one of the better local(ish) ipas. always nice to have this one fresh and whenever ases show up in the stores this is a go to 6er for the fridge. I hold this beer in high regard, was kind of surprised to not see a bottle review on file. Love this one. Worth seeking out if you don't get it. East coast IPA goodness.

Fresh bottle poured into a tulip. For reference, bottles are ticked for 3 months after bottling. Mine is ticked for August. Very fresh bottle.

A - Light amber hue, very very slight haze. Finger head, settles to a nice soapy layer.

S - Awesome aroma of citrus, tropical fruits and a small bit of bread malt. The fruitiness is awesome in this one. Very mango/pineapple forward.

T - Perfect blend of hoppy citrus and fruit with a great backbone of bready malt. One of the best tasting single IPA's out there. Again, the fruit notes steal the show. Bitterness isn't immediate, but builds to a comfortable level.

M - Tad thin, but nothing to fault it on really. Not too sweet or bitter, and works right in the middle.

O - Fantastic IPA crafted only a few hours from me. Awesome beer, pick it up if it's fresh near you.

Had this great beer on tap at my house ( yes, really) and in a bottle.
A- pours a really nice yellow amber with a wonderful pillowy, fluffy white inch and 1/2 head!
S- smells of citrus and has a grassy clean smell as well.
T- wow! Hop forward with a nice citrus taste that lingers on the tongue and back of throat, very slight bready finish, amazing!!
M- feels clean and slippery
O- thought this was one of the better ipa's i have ever had. Just a well done beer. Was lucky enough to get a log of this for my kegerator and couldnt be happier ( or hoppier...sorry). Will always look for this beer when in the mood for an ipa.

12 oz. bottle into tulip glass, served cold.

a: very attractive hazy golden orange with beautiful three finger off-white head which dissipates quickly. leaves a nice white lacing around the glass.

s: light citrusy hop character, some corn but not in a bad way. something seems off though.

t: light pine and citrus from the hops with a bitter finish. not much to this.

m: light body and low carbonation.

o: a drinkable and refreshing session IPA but not one i'd seek out.

Pours pale orange with 1 inch of fluffy white head and lacing was nice.

Smells of grapefruit hops and slight maltiness in there.

Nice citrusy grapefruit with a mild malt backbone and bitterness that followed and lingered for awhile.

Very smooth and dry almost no carbonation.

Overall this is a decent IPA very good especially for a year round offering from the east. It is just slightly below NN in flavor and appearance, but still very good.

Very rich. Ordinarily, it takes a double I PA to get my interest. I live in Ithaca and have taken a blasé attitude to our local product. On my way home one evening, not wanting to stop at Wegmans to pick up a six of my favorite, I stopped in at the home of Ithaca Beer and bought six of Flower Power. Turned out to be a very pleasant beer. Hoppy enough to satisfy me, and I am a hops freak. Most surprising was the nose. Due to youthful hay fever, I pretty much couldn't smell a barn if I were standing knee-deep in horse shit. This beer, though, comes through with major fruitiness. ABV 7.5, it's enough, but not so much you can't enjoy a few. Give it a shot ...
