Reviewed from notes.
A: Yellow with white pillowy head.
S: Citrus hop oils, rinds of grapefruit/oranges
T: Grapefruit rind juice-a total citrus bomb. I really enjoyed that the bitterness in this one comes from citrus as opposed to pine/grass. The bitterness does linger, but doesn't destroy your palette. Reminds me of an alcoholic version of the juice I had the first time I juiced 3 whole grapefruits.
M: Full, well carbonated.
O: I have yet to find an available IPA in my area of NY that is on par with this one. Have already had a six pack of this and a growler. Can't wait to try this at the brewery or a bottle that is less than a week old as I hear it enhances the drinking experience.

Poured from a bottle into a nonic. Orange yellow appearance with a 2 finger off-white, fluffy head. Lacing is sticky and thick, staying on the glass the whole way down as you drink.

Big west coast IPA smell here, with lots of citrus notes. Tangerine, grapefruit, orange. Some honey, maybe?

The big win for this beer is the taste. Lots of juicy citrus hits you right up front, grapefruit, tangerine, maybe a little pine, the malt comes in the middle, and then you get hit with just enough bitterness on the finish to make you want more. My absolute favorite IPA from the East so far. If you are a fan of West Coast IPAs, I suggest you give this a try. An amazing beer.

a cloudy orange-yellow with about half inch of head (nice amounts of lacing). holy crap as soon as the cap comes off your nose is bombarded with hops! citrus and floral hop aromas rise to the nose and follow up with a sweet tangerine type smell. as you take your first sip, even more floral hops travel down your nasal openings and cause for an excellent taste of bitter, floral, and citrus hop flavor all in one. it's like watching a movie in HD.. except you're drinking a beer. a deliciously tangy/citrusy ipa with a mellow bitter-sweet malty backbone. medium bodied and lightly carbonated, this ipa leaves a slight bitter aftertaste on the palate, however the smell of hops stays stuck in your nose and you want more and more and more.

what this beer lacks in appearance and texture, it more than makes up in aroma and flavor. one of my favorite locals and i believe is a year round beer now (not just spring seasonal), this beer deserves more recognition.

Appearance: pours a hazy orangish gold.

Smell: Usual IPA smell with pine and citrus..

Taste: Good flavor from this ipa with a lot of malt and pine with some hints of citrus. I'm not sure what the meaning of the name is but I'm not tasting any floral tones to this one. A bit disappointing I must say.

Overall: I'd buy this ipa again but it doesn't quite wow me. It reminds me of Green Flash West Coast ipa but not quite as good.

A: Hazy and looks like honey; so orangey-yellow. Features a small white head with fair lacing and good retention.

S: I could smell this guy once I popped the cap; in my glass it smells even better: there’s no mistaking the juicy, bitter, ripe grapefruit busting from this beer. But it’s not all fruity – there’s a fresh piney-earthiness too to balance it out.

T&M: Fruity up front but there’s a lingering bitterness that comes through and finishes on the bitter side. Where’s the carbonation? Feels a little flat. I’ll try it again in the future, it might just be this sixer.

O: Good beer but not the best IPA – it was foamy and soft rather than crisp. But I recommend it nonetheless.

12oz bottle poured into a tulip. March/April notched on the label.

A: Pours a mostly clear light golden amber with a 2 finger puffy white head. Small amount of visible carbonation.

S: Great citrus and floral hop notes. Some grassyness as well. Sweet malts and fruit. Some pine and spice too. Aroma is outstanding on tap.

T: Starts of with some strong floral and citrus hops. A carmely sweet malt backbone makes an attempt at balancing it out. Ends with more hops. Alcohol isn't too noticeable for 7.5%

M: Average body, on the lower end in regards to carbonation. Leaves some stickiness from the hops. Quite drinkable.

Overall a very tasty beer. An IPA like this is right up my alley. Love the cascade and simcoe hops.
