Poured from a bottle dated best by March 2012 into a Samuel Adams perfect pint glass.

Beer poured a hazy honey orange with about a half inch of milk white head which faded very quickly into a little toupee on top. Good lacing.

Smell is amazing. Flowers and tons of tropical fruits. Tangerines, grapefruits, pineapples, and mango. A little bit of sweet malts mixed with honey.

Tastes like sunshine! Big juicy hops and a grapefruit explosion. The bitter aspect is welcoming after the initial sweetness. This beer really hangs around for a long time after you swallow.

Mouthfeel is slick and oily like the best IPAs I've had. As previously mentioned, the aftertaste lasts forever and contributes to an excellent feel. Tongue-numbing goodness!

Overall I have to say I was hooked on the first drink. I had never noticed this in my local bottle shop until a few weeks ago and I had to pick it up due to the amount of attention it has received. No disappointments here.

12 oz bottle poured into a pint glass. This awesome beer was sent to me by Al... Thanks Al!
[Best Before date: March(notched)]

Pours abit hazy golden/orange, with very little 1/2" off white head. Not much retension, but still leaves behind some decent lacing.

Aromas are a nice mix of citrus and sweetness. Getting piney, honey notes with hints of orange and other tropical fruits(pineapple mostly).

Flavors are similar to aromas. Floral hops, grapefruit bitterness with a very solid bready malt taste. Excellently balanced... this beer is awesome!

Medium body with an appropriate amount of carbonation. Bitter, lightly dry mouthfeel.

Overall, I'd probably consider this in the Top 3 single IPA's I've ever had. I really need to get my hands on more of these bottles.

A: Pours a hazy gold in color with an inch thick white head that settles into a foam that covers the surface leaving heavy lacing.

S: Tropical/Citrus hops dominate the nose. Present are Oranges, Peaches, Clementines, Grapefruit, Pineapple with some floral undertones and bready malt. Deliciously aromatic!

T: Sweet tropical fruits upfront with some herbal hops mixed in there matched with a nice bitter blast at the end. This brew is no hop bomb, it's nicely matched with a bready malt backbone that lends a honey like flavor to the beer.

M: Smooth, medium bodied, with medium carbonation. Works quite well for the beer.

O: Overall this a great IPA. Something the east coast can really stand behind. It's affordable, readily available, delicious, and refreshing.

Review adapted from notes taken 7/22/11

Appearance: A really nice-looking golden orange - great head, great lacing

Smell: Interesting - sweet (sweeter than average), pale malts, lightly toasted - hops are very citrusy, with a touch of tropical - fleshy, like chunks of grapefruit - floral, and there's some pine, too

Taste: Almost like a weak double IPA - cooked, somewhat sweet pale malts - tons of grapefruit - grapefruit flesh, and some kind of citrus that tastes like under-ripe oranges - pith, and a lot of bitterness, with lingering bitterness

Mouthfeel: On the heavy side of medium, definitely not dry or crisp, more wet and smooth

Overall: Very good, but not great

I can see why a lot of people rave about this beer. Personally, I don't think it's much above average. The hop profile is a little weird, but good; my only real complaint in the mouthfeel. Perhaps as the result of the relatively high ABV, this really tastes too heavy and wet, given the flavor profile.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a snifter. Pours a deep dark orange with a white, creamy, tightly-bubbled head. The aroma has lots of floral hops and citrus, some pine characteristics as well. The taste has a lot of tropical fruits at the start, with a nice overall balance of hop bitterness finishing with malts at the end. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with a decent amount of carbonation. It is a smooth and not overly bitter IPA.

Overall, a nice and refreshing IPA from Ithaca. I could see this really being a nice beer to have during those hot summer days.

I was lucky enough to get this as an extra!

Poured out of a 12 oz bottle in a pint glass, and it comes out a beautiful golden color with a hint of haze. You can smell the floral hops as it pours and the citrus when you get it to your nose. The hops hit you right away with a malty backend that is fantastic. Definitely its my first but certainly one of my favorite IPAs. It has the grapefruit bite, and a great sweetness to counter that slightly. Not overly carbonated, in fact there was almost no head and no lacing down the glass. This is a great IPA, great flavor, and absolutely one I want to get again.

A welcomed extra from Mr. stearns16. Quite unexpected, heard a lot about this one, thanks! Imbibed 11/19/11 - from notes.

Pours a bright orange into my imperial pint. 1 inch of soapy white head sits atop the brew. Quickly disappeared leaving an abstract lacing around. Aroma is all hops with citrus sprinkled in every now & then. Taste begins with a lemon-y bitterness and finishes the same. Not too impressed overall. Mouthfeel is mediocre, has medium carbonation. 7.5% is well hidden though, and I could see myself drinking a couple given I had a few. Slightly above average beer, but would opt for a local WI brew over the Flower Power.

Poured from a growler into a Duvel tulip.

A: Pours amber orange with a white head that doesn't linger very long.

S: Super citrus and floral. This stuff has a great aroma which only makes the beer more attractive

T: Boom! Lots of citrus, bitter, floral, grapefruit. One of the better IPAs I have had yet.

M: Smooth with a great bite

O: The whole is greater than the sum of the parts with this one. The beer is not overly attractive from an appearance standpoint. Mostly the taste and aroma combine to form a beer that is at once delicious and very drinkable

12 oz. best before December 2011. Reviewed 12/19/11

Hazy, golden body. Bone white head froths up and falls to a sea foam cover.

Tons of fruit in the nose, with citrus and tropical fruit dominating. Fresh cut flowers and honey.

Nice dose of herbal, tea like hops. Slightly tart, citric fruit flavors. Very dry, cracker malts mid-palate set the stage for a bitter, pine hop finish, slightly metallic.

Very good east coast IPA. Tons of bursting flavors make this very enjoyable.

12 oz bottle. best before FEB.

A: super hazed golden/orange. the head is off-white and looks sticky. great lacing and good retention. good looking AIPA.

S: citrus for sure. just a blast of american hops. certainly a rich, malt backbone there to bring it all together. this is what an AIPA should smell like.

T: sweet, tasty morning fruits. clementine. oranges. grapefruit. the malt is up front and big as well. maybe some wheat in there? the finish leaves the longest lasting, closest representation of grapefruit that i can have to memory on an IPA.

M: carbonation is moderate and works well with the hop profile and malt body. medium bodied.

D: super vibrant and flavorful AIPA. definitely one of my favorites. just bright, fresh hop flavor that every IPA lover looks for in a good one. pick it up if you can find it!
