Bottle poured into my stemmed Allagash

This beer pours a deep orange color with a nice big white head that hangs around for a bit. The head left good lacing on the glass as it receded. The aroma is a punch in the face of citrus hops. God that hop resin smells delightful. The flavor is pretty much non-existent for the first second or two the beer hits my mouth, but shortly after a nice citrus hop flavor (and a flavor much more than a bitter on this beer) takes over. It has a wonderful mellow grapefruit flavor. In fact, that is exactly what this beer tastes like, a lovely grapefruit early in the morning. The mouthfeel is pretty typical of the style and fits well.

This is a very good IPA. But then again, there are so many good IPA's out there, I feel it is getting hard for them to actually be very distinguishable from each other. I think allegiance and support really effects people's reviews.

Pour- Poured vigorously into a pint glass, 1/4 inch head. Good lacing

smell- It really smells of flowers and a hint of grapefruit.

Taste- The taste is a citrus well crafted hoppy brew. You can actually taste the flowers.

Overall- A good beer. One I will defiantly buy again.

12 oz bottle was poured into a tulip glass.

Appearance: Yhe beer poured a one finger head. A hazy yellow/orange color. Some clarity and signs of tiny little bubbles oming from the bottom of the glass. Head has reduced and left some nice lacing on the glass.

Smell: Nice grapefruit, pine, pineapple, tangerine, and sweet malt aroma.

Taste: Same as above. Deliciously good. Enjoying many more sips.

Mouthfeel: Smooth, medium carbonation, medium bodied, and a little chewy. Very easy to drink.

Overall: I have enjoyed this beer many times before and many more in the future.

A - Pours with a small head of white foam that rests atop a clear, copper colored body. The foam dissipates fairly rapidly and leaves a bit of lace on the glass.

S - Pungent, tropical fruit hop character with and hint of grapefruit and pine as well as some doughy malt in the background.

T - Fruity pineapple and mango hops out of the gate with clean, thick malt. Some peppery notes in the middle as pine starts to appear. Lots of grapefruit in the finish with lingering peppery character and a touch of toffee and fairly strong bitterness.

M - Medium body, moderate carbonation, and a slightly sweet finish.

D - This is an IPA that focuses on aroma and hop flavor first, just as it should. The fruity hops dominate in the aroma and while the beer pretty much tastes the way it smells it also has some peppery complexity in the flavor profile. The malt is sufficient to balance things out and keep the hops from becoming overwhelming, but it keeps its head down and allows the hop character to take center stage. Very nice.

On tap, served in a tulip shaped pint glass. The brew appears a golden copper color with a creamy topping of off-white froth. The cap maintains fairly well and leaves a webby pattern of lacing effect on the glass.

The smell is juicy with citrus character from the good. Rindy almost like orange zest and grapefruit. A bit of herbal aspect gets grassy towards the back with some dank, weedy character that is lightly cheesy. Lightly fruity again as it starts to warm up.

The taste is oily with resinous hops that are moderately bitter. A touch of caramel to toffee tasting malt is present. Grapefruit zest and bitter rinds mix with some herbal component, grass and dank aspects just like the aroma indicated. There is a light musty quality about this brew as it warms up.

This is a medium bodied brew with a light level of carbonation. It is oily in the feel but contains a pleasant blend of hop character that kept me interested throughout the entire experience. Easy drinking with a low alcohol impact, I would have this again.

Thanks goes out to Montrose79 for hooking me up!

A: Large 2+ fingered, slightly off white foamy head that exhibited solid retention, but left less lacing then I had hoped. The beer itself is a deep orange with a light red core that remains mostly opaque.

S: Floral hops are the dominating scent. Pine notes follow with a nice amount of grapefruit. Sweet candied malts on the back end tie this beer together nicely.

T: Pine and bitter hops followed by the malts and citrus flavors. It's a fairly straight forward and traditional IPA, but it is just awesome how well balanced a brew it is.

M: Fairly typical for the variety.

O: A great IPA, beers like this remind me why I love the styles so much.
