Bottle into tulip

Appearance- Light gold, somewhat hazy, 1 finger white head

Aroma- Big grapefruit, and citrus, juicy hops, some pine and floral notes as well, slight malt backbone and alcohol

flavor- A little less citrus a little more pine, good bitterness, juicy hops, drinks easier than 9%

mouthfeel- Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, some alcohol warmth

Overall- Very nice DIPA, a bit like an amped up flower power. Probably my favorite from the new ones in the box of hops

Poured into a standard pint glass: color is gold/copper, opaque, dense looking, head is bright white, large bubbles, dissipates to a ring and spots with some lacing on the glass.

Smell is a big hop blast: mostly citrus, grapefruit prominent, some lighter earthy and pine notes; malt is light, maybe some toast and pale malt.

Taste is big hop forward flavor, more muddled mix of citrus, earth, pine notes; hops are bitter and floral concurrently, with some pleasant tasting as it warms; malt is background, some sweetness, some toast and biscuit. Hop/malt flavor hides stronger abv.

Mouthfeel is pretty balanced for this ale, good bitterness and malt sweetness; abv is not detracting.

Overall, a very solid dipa, nice abundant aroma, good flavor, good strength and good mouthfeel.

Pours a quite foggy gold hue with minimal head. Interesting flavor profile. A mix of earthy and pine and citrus in a very even-keeled kind of way. Smooth and consistent. A nice drinker. An interesting east coast style IPA (and a double at that).Good balance and a rounded character.

12oz bottle poured into a snifter.

Appearance
Golden yellow with a short head that dissipates quickly. Sediment is suspended throughout the glass.

Nose
Navel orange, tangerine, lemon, pineapple and caramel.

Taste
Tons of orange citrus! Navel orange and tangerine. Grapefruit juice, mango, lemon pith and touches of pineapple. Firm caramel backbone balances everything out. Finishes with some nice florals and pine resin.

Mouthfeel
Medium-plus bodied, moderately bitter, oily and dry.

Overall
Orange citrus bomb! Well balanced and easy drinking.

12oz. bottle courtesy of NewBrewBB (thanks Brett). Best before January notched on the label. Pours an orange-gold hue with a loose, quarter-inch, off-white head and a semi-hazy clarity. Head dissipates into a bull's eye dollop and a creamy band around the shoulders. Some spots and strands of lacing present during the tasting. Nose is fairly subdued - some citrus (perhaps tangerine) and herbal notes and a suggestion of the malt backbone. Taste consistent with nose - flavors are more prominent but come off a bit muddled, with a bitterness towards the back the drops off between quaffs. Mouthfeel is light-medium with a pleasant carbonation that falls just short of lively. Texture has a slight oiliness to it. Overall, a decent DIPA with a fairly well-hidden ABV; however, this one doesn't really knock my socks off.

Chill hazed golden orange body. Big three finger high off-white head with excellent retention. Leaves foamy lacing on the glass.

Smells of intense citrus fruit, kiwi, honey, white grapes.

Taste is a very smooth, modest bitterness. Very excellent. Hop flavor is there, bitterness is very restrained for a double IPA. Body is on the lighter side for the style. Very gentle carbonation, maybe a tad under-carbonated.

So incredibly drinkable it's crazy. The hop profile is fresh, and the body as smooth as it gets for DIPA. This is a dangerous beer. I like it more than I like Flower Power.
