By no means an ordinary Double IPA. Creeker is all hops with little malt body. Enjoy the intense citrus flavor & aroma with mischievously easy drinkability.

A: crystal clear; copper colored; less than a 1 finger off white head that receded to a thin collar; OK lacing;

S: pine and grapefruit;

T: malt forward; some earthy hops in the background; a touch sweet on the finish partially offset by a bit of bitterness;

M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;

O: too malty for my taste; odd since the description is "all hops with little malt body";

On tap. Into a pint glass.

Pours a translucent brownish orange with about one finger of white head. Poor retention. Slight lacing.

Smells of citrus and pine.

Taste is piney Bitter. Alcohol shows up.

Slightly sticky mouthfeel but smoothly drinkable. Low carbonation. Bitter boozy aftertaste.

Overall, ok. Seems like this could be better than it is.

Undated can poured into a stemless wine glass.

Pretty interesting melding of West Coast and East Coast and/or New England. Love the clarity (world class look for a traditional American IIPA), and there's plenty of sweet malts, pithy citrus, and bitter pine to keep a WC IPA fan interested. But it also blends in a huge dose of tropical and stone fruit juiciness, full on grape juice and mellonball, and every berry you can think of. Very interesting and multi-directional, with a reasonable balance of sweetness, bitterness and pith, and booziness. (Very Lagunitas-like in that respect, especially on the nose. The taste is definitely overwhelmed by sweetness and booze.) And if you're looking for a fruit salad of literally every fruit flavor that can be extracted from a hop cone, this is your jam. But the end result is quite discombobulated, almost barleywine-esque, specifically on the tongue. Fun and massive drinking experience. But seems like a beer that is searching for an identify, and clearly isn’t keeping true to any accepted, pre-defined category.

Glad to have tried it and absolutely wouldn’t turn it down if offered in the future. But I don’t think I would seek it out again unless I was simply in the mood for some palate wrecking.

Wanted to like it much more than i did. doesn't really mesh for me...
L: Drinking from the can. The can is just fine, thank you.
S: some pine. some sweetness. ok but not great.
T: this is where it loses me. lots of sweetness that is just cloying. finishes bitter but just does not come together. Just a bunch of disconnected notes.
F: rich, smooth. carbonation level is good.
O: Just doesn't work for me. Too bad because this is a good brewery..

I'd like to give this 5 stars but no beer is PERFECT. That said, this is an outstanding DIPA. It's 9% but drinks like it's 5-6. Hits on all the right notes: pine, grapefruit, bitter but not overbearing. It's nowhere near syrupy and never fails to disappoint.

Bought a four pack of this at Wegman's supermarket in Ithaca, NY. About an inch of head with a good amount of lacing left. Dark amber color and clear with a few specks. Aroma is floral and tropical. Grapefruit, lime and pine up front with some nutmeg and fruit notes. Great dipa.
