330ml red waxed ceramic swing top poured into small taster 3/29/13

A clear ruby red syrup, two bubbles, no head or nothing related, thin legs look sexy

S the sawdust left in a gerbils cage after the urine's fermented into well.... this mess, my freshly polished Doc Martins with some melted plastic smoldering into plywood

T what I smelled but with a massive booze blast, I'm not sure but I think there's unicorn tears that's been distilled to 31% but I can't be sure with all the hobo's saliva after chewing tobacco

M hot syrupy mess, very hot and extremely heavy, Wow, my mouths watering like I'm about to vomit

O I'd rather drink sex panther
Edit- I guess there’s a beer “Sex Panther” I was referring to drinking the cologne from Anchorman

I'm at a loss for words, its just that awful

L: Pitch black with no Corbin at ion or head what so ever, kinda what you would expect from a 31% beer

S: Sweet molasses Chavo late cocoa coffee a little bit of fruit in there as well.

T: Has an alcohol burn on your tongue but as soon as that's gone you get dark chocolate, cocoa powder, coffee beans, espresso, raspberry, cherry, super sweet on the finish when you swallow and a lot of dark cocoa chocolate taste as well.

F: Super rich in character and mouth feel.

O: Absolutely fantastic beer, I'm so glad I got to try and enjoy this beer!!!!

Very clear rich garnet colour. Very alcoholic, very rich dark fruits like cranberry and prune; sticky sweet aromas, along with what almost seems like soy sauce. Very heavy mouthfeel with a dense lingering coat; highly alcoholic in flavor with a lot of raisin. Malts are heavy like a barleywine and leave a hint of a bitter finish, and again a tinge of soy sauce.

330ml red-wax sealed swing-top ceramic bottle. And yeah, shared, of course. The 'World's Strongest Beer' label now seems like an unfortunate collectable, like those upside-down stamps of lore.

This beer pours an ostensibly clear, very dark ruby brown hue, with the thinnest of surface cap head, which leaves an even sparser ring of soda pop bubble 'lace' around the glass as it quickly dissipates.

It smells of cheap whiskey and pirate rum soaked wood timbers, all smoking heavily because they somehow can't catch fire, musty, dank dark fruit - prune and dried cherry, mostly - an edgy singed caramel/toffee malt, old leather, and a mildly phenolic plastic essence. Strange, sure, but still a lot better than the typical Minhas aroma, amirite? The taste is massive, overbearing caramel/toffee malt, sickly treacle, liquid smoke, polished Italian dress shoes, hyper-concentrated black fruit (black hole fruit?), dugout-floor chewing tobacco, dark roasted chocolate syrup, a hefty dose of drying alcohol, and a waning dose of that seemingly unavoidable industrial plastic astringency.

The carbonation is actually perceptible, to my mild surprise, providing an unsettling tingling down below, the body super-dense, super sticky, and super-weighted, to a level where smoothness and creaminess are only parsable on a different beverage's scale. It finishes incredibly sweet, but in that over-oaked whisky sense - the alcohol and wood going a fair distance in convincing you that this is a Perfectly Normal Beast.

Like the BrewDog's TNP before it, this has much going for it in terms of forging new vistas, yadda, yadda, yadda, and is a definite slow sipper, but suffers a bit too many side effects from all that consolidation of flavour. There appears to be good reason why the brown spirits craftsmen of the world go about it the way that they do, as opposed to this one. Interesting, in a circus side-show, gaping appreciation sort of way, if that's you and your wallet's sort of thing.

Bottle @ home (of course not the whole bottle :-) ). The bottle looks great, the beer in the glass light brown, no head. Complex fiery-alcoholic aroma. Starts the same: incredibly strong, very alcoholic, like fire on the tongue. Goes down burning, like an earthquake, shows interesting fruity notes, like apricot. Very warming but also well balanced finish. Very prickly aftertaste. Really an incredible beer, a hot beer. Well done record!
