The pour is a very nice layer brown with a bit of amber to the edges. There is slight head, bubbles quickly recede leaving minimal with no real lacing.
Big carmel and toffee nose, a bit of roasted malt beneath that but this is a gently sweet aroma that heightens the overall beer quite a bit.
The taste is flat compared to the nose. It is malt, without much depth or complexity. It's spot on without being overbearing; but the lack of depth here is very disappointing.
Mouthfeel is excellent, perhaps a bit light but no glaring errors.
Solid offering, there are better porters out there but this would be in rotation if it was available locally.
