Appearance- Pours a deep brown, with some amber highlights, thick off white head, great lacing left all the way down the pint, nice looking beer.
Smell- Light coffee and some chocolate. A nuttiness with molasses and citrus sided hops. Smells nice, but is a bit weak.
Taste- Pretty nutty up front with some syrupy molasses thrown in. Milk chocolate and a slight coffee pops up, with a short jolt of citrus hops. A cocoa like dryness and linger is then produced. Interesting, but good.
Mouthfeel- Light for the style with medium carbonation. Could use a bit more body for me personally, but it works.
Overall- A nice light porter, could easily pass as a brown. Gets better as it warms, and the linger is actually quite strong and very flavorful. The thin-ish body is really the only thing holding this back from being in the top tier of the style.

Pours a cola like brown with very little head. Makes me a bit concerned about this bottle, as the label says it should form a large head.
The smell is mainly chocolate, maybe a bit of malt and vanilla as well.
Quite a bit of chocolate up front, there's some fruit and coffee, finishes with a bit of lingering hop bitterness.
A touch on the thin side, but the carbonation keeps it interesting and lets me know my concern about the lack of head is unfounded.
Overall a pretty nice beer. I consider it to be a dessert beer, as it reminds me a bit of chocolate cake or a brownie. It's maybe a touch heavy on the hops, but still goes down fairly easily. Glad I took a chance on this one.
