A: Dark garnet on the pour produces a thin, scant, walnut toned head. Small micro-bran colored floaties line the bottom portion of the vessel. Small whispy eyelash lacing. Head was not as big or rocky as label claims into a clean and well kept class.
S: Sweet chocolate and coffee roast with some fruity notes of semi-dry cherries.
T: Chalky coffee roast flavor, dry, lightly bitter with wet coffee grains. Dry creamer chalkiness, bitter bakers chocolate, dry walnutes finishes chalky.
M: Body feels pretty big per style, borders on a stout, chewy, bittering dry and chalky on the tongue.
O: Overall seems to have a noticeable chalky/dry creamer presence while the chocolate malt takes a back seat. Chalkiness takes something away, appearing more off flavor, drinkability is low, not reaching for seconds here. Id take a pass.

Pours a cola like brown with very little head. Makes me a bit concerned about this bottle, as the label says it should form a large head.
The smell is mainly chocolate, maybe a bit of malt and vanilla as well.
Quite a bit of chocolate up front, there's some fruit and coffee, finishes with a bit of lingering hop bitterness.
A touch on the thin side, but the carbonation keeps it interesting and lets me know my concern about the lack of head is unfounded.
Overall a pretty nice beer. I consider it to be a dessert beer, as it reminds me a bit of chocolate cake or a brownie. It's maybe a touch heavy on the hops, but still goes down fairly easily. Glad I took a chance on this one.
