650ml bottle poured into a Central Waters snifter.
The beer pours a deep, jet black color with just a hint of cola brown around the edges, very opaque, with a khaki head that rises about 2 fingers high and has good retention and leaves a few spots of lace behind. The aroma is heavy on cold pressed coffee, slightly roasty with some toasted dark grains, bitter dark chocolate and some light pitted stone fruit. It's simple, but straightforward and the coffee is great. The flavors are right in line with the nose, wonderful cold pressed coffee, perfectly roasty with some nice fruit accents, bitter dark chocolate, toasted dark grain with pitted stone fruit and slight alcohol at the finish. The mouthfeel is nice, lively carbonation, it's fairly full bodied, slightly thinner than I'd like, coats the mouth decently well and finishes crisply.
Verdict: A very nice coffee stout from Central Waters. It's thin, like many of their beers, which I'm not overly fond of, but the flavor profile is quite nice. Certainly one of the most drinkable coffee forward stouts I've come across and one I'd love to enjoy many more times.

Thanks yet again to Andrew for the bottle.
Pours jet black, ring of off white head, no lace to speak of. Smell is of coffe and roast, chocolate both of the milk and dark variety, not a lot more going on but still a seemless blend of coffee, roast and chocolate. Taste is of coffee and roast, faint bit of char, chocolate, moderate bitterness throughout coming from both chocolate and hops, ashy/char/roast aftertaste. Lightly carbonated, medium full body. A great coffee stout that should be held in the same regard as Peche Mortel and FBS, something I would very much like to revisit again.
