A - Clear very dark brown colored with a short lived, tiny tannish head that quickly collapsed to nothing. No ring of head around the glass, no lacing. But still quite appealing looking.
S - Huge dark roasted coffee. Slight roasted dark malts. A little bourbon. Very big and smells great. Reminiscent of KBS, but with the coffee on steroids.
F/M - Dark bold coffee up front. As other before have said, if you're not into coffee, like seriously into coffee, you probably won't like this beer. However, I certainly do enjoy bold coffee as well as bourbon (sometimes together) and this beer delivers on both. The stout characteristics are noticable but somewhat muted by the coffee and bourbon. Again, KBS on steroids without the great velvety mouthfeel. Still great on the tongue, medium full bodied with moderate carbonation. Lingering chocolate coffee flavor.
D - Big, bold, roasty and flavorful, this is a great beer to sip on. And one probably won't do it for me. I could easily go for some more of this.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a snifter. This is a 2014 vintage.
Appearance: Pours very dark brown/nearly black and leaves a finger of dark tan/light brown head, which fades to a layer around the glass.
Smell: Big, roasty coffee beans up front, roasted malts, light fudge. Nice balanced aroma with some big flavors.
Taste: A bit of vinous, slightly sour flavor upfront, along with coffee beans, some dark chocolate, oak, malts. The sour doesn't help the flavor, but rather nearly dominates it.
Mouth-feel: Medium carbonation with a medium, creamy body. Finishes smooth, a bit sour.
Overall: Definitely a nice, coffee stout, but the sour in the taste is a bit offputting. It doesn't completely dominate the taste but does give it a twist. Still, a nice stout.
