A friend brought a bottle to me since this beer would be nearly impossible to find locally. Thanks Tom!

A - The Glacial Trail IPA's appearance is wonderful; coppery and hazy, with fantastic carbonation and foam. After several minutes in the pint glass there was still an inch or so of creamy foam and Belgian lace clinging to the glass.

S - The smell was at most average as I couldn't discern anything more than subtle malt tones and a citrusy yeast scent.

T - The taste was carmelly sweet with a balanced hop bitterness, however, the malt disappears quickly leaving bitter hop resin. Don't get me wrong, I could drink several of these, but would like a little more alpha hop taste and balance for an AIPA.

M - The mouthfeel is good; medium body thickness and prickly carbonation with good toasty notes up front, but a residual bitterness.

D - I'd love to drink a few of these on tap and would recommend you let this warm to 45F as the flavors are more melded once warmer. Overall, a very good AIPA.

A: a little hazy, but pretty clear; copper colored; with a aggressive pour, I got a 2 finger head that receded over 3-4 minutes;

S: a little soapy, a little floral; some malt; overall, a little light;

T: pale malt throughout with a long lasting, moderately bitter finish;

M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation;

O: nice, but I prefer more hop aroma and flavor;

Pours a medium orange color with a white head and all due lacing. In the aroma, stewed hops full of citrus and floral notes. Definitely grapefruit.

In the taste, rounded flavor of orange and grapefruit citrus, green onion and herb. Malt body has caramel and bread. Moderate to firm bitterness and a nice clean finish.

Medium bodied ale with a crisp carbonation. Overall, this is a solid ipa without much of a bite. Smooth and refreshing. A good beer for sure.
