Another one picked up in Hudson.
Pours a darker copper color with a khaki colored head. Retention isn't that impressive, as it thins to a small ring in a couple minutes. Leaves some nice spotty lacing behind.
The nose is mostly floral and citrus hops, but they are kind of muted and covered up by an increasing malt presence. Lighter and subtler than I would have liked.
The taste on this one is just like the nose. Fruity and floral, with a decent malt backbone that you can tell is starting to creep in. Pretty straight forward.
Mouthfeel is about medium in body, with a nice resiny bitterness and crisp carbonation bite. Finishes with a lingering bitter aftertaste. Drinkability is pretty good.
I picked this up to quench my hop thirst, and while it didn't really get that done, it's still a good IPA. I definitely wouldn't mind having this agian.
