As it says on the label, it's Glacial Trail, not Glacier Trail... anyhow.
My notes get less detailed now...

a - Orange/red light head. Hazy? Maybe not.

s - not much. Some hop, some malt

t - nice pale ale. Hop bite at the end. Smooth and pretty clean.

m - nice, bitter aftertaste

d - good.

Solid pale ale but nothing out of the quality ordinary.

Bottle from Riley's in Madison. Pleasant Bitter tastes Citrus minty pine cone. Better than average IPA and oh, how so drinkable. How fortunate are thee, Wisconsonians or whatever you are called for so many good brews and breweries!Golden colour and hoppy aromas.

light reddish hues, white head. Piny and oily smell. Hops in the front. Toasty sweetbread. Mouthfeel a little oily. Heavyier than the alcohol would lead to assume. Not very sessionable.

I drank this beer two days in a row, and had two different tasting experiences. On the first day I drank the beer slightly warmer then I would have liked. On this day, the beer was very hoppy. The hops were very floral and almost sweet. I enjoyed the level of hops but thought the beer was not so easy going down. The second day I drank the beer a little colder then I would have liked. Also, due to location, I drank the beer straight from the bottle this day. I experienced a much maltier beer this day. The hops were only detectable as an aftertaste. I did enjoy the malt flavors but was looking forward to the hops flavors I experienced the previous day and didn't get those. Overall, this is a very drinkable local beer. Not too hoppy, not too malty.

Pours clear, amber, with 1/4 inch head. Taste is pine, light orange and light caramel. Sweet start and decent bitter aftertaste. Above average to average IPA. I prefer several others in the style. Unsure if I would get this again.

Thanks to exiled for sharing this beer.

The beer pours a golden orange color with a white head. The aroma is citrus hops but not as strong as I would have liked. The flavor is citrus hops with some medium bitterness. The flavor and aroma are both slightly subdued. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Serving glass: Poured from bottle into tall glass.

Appearance: Hazy orange and moderate cream colored head with bubbly lacing.

Smell: Citrus, sweet toasted malt, dry spiciness.

Taste: Dry citrus (orange and grapefruit) with dry toasted and tea-like malts. Ends with a fairly high level of spicy bitterness and maybe a touch of pine. Something about it does not mesh quite as well as I would like, and it is simply too bitter compared to the relative lack of flavor.

Feel: Relatively low carbonation, moderate firm body, dry finish. Have I mentioned it's dry yet?

Drinkability: Somewhat of a unique take on an American IPA as it seems to have English Bitter qualities, both in the taste and the feel. Pretty solid overall, but probably not worth returning to considering the number of fine IPAs out there.

A nutty, earthy nose evokes moist, mature deciduous floor one might find along the glacial trail on a cool morning in late May or early June. It pours hazy burnt amber under a light tan 1” head that produces thick lace. The nutty beer lightly sweetened by pale caramel rolls over the tongue with a very creamy texture leading to an assertive but not harsh bitter finish with a light fruit flavor somewhere between pineapple and peach. A very fine soft texture gives the beer an airy feel.

A little bit darker than most, this one approaches light brown territory. Lots of chunky yeast floaties from this one. Aroma could have been hoppier, was expecting hoppier.

Caramel, woodsiness, high bitterness, low if any floral hop aspect at any point. Malty all over the place. Bitterness hits often and hard.

This is so far from the usual quality of CW's stuff. Don't hold this one beer against them. Just doesn't come across as a good ipa to me, much less an ipa.
