Aroma - The first thing that strikes me is that it has an "old hop" smell that is typically with pale ales. Full disclaimer: I'm not a fan of that. The aroma would be classified as malty and floral. I'd say it isn't a clean smell that is easily discernable. 5/12

Appearance - Two finger off white head dissapates to a thin film of head. Excellent lacing on the glass. Color is dark golden with a haze of either suspended particulate or carbonation that is just hanging out. 3/3

Flavor - Some hop bitterness up front that lingers to the back of the tongue. I'm not getting a lot of discernable flavors similar to the aroma. Definitely a healthy malt backbone. Hop bitterness really lingering in the back of my mouth - likely clinging to the malt. 13/20

Mouthfeel - Good carbonation level. Slightly more malty than I would expect. 4/5

Overall - I was turned off by the aroma, but was not as disappointed by the flavor. This is still not going to get a great score, but it's not terrible. That being said, I will not buy this again unless I forget that I have already had it. If it's the only IPA option you have at the time, go for it. If there are other options, you probably want to go for one of those. 6/10

A nutty, earthy nose evokes moist, mature deciduous floor one might find along the glacial trail on a cool morning in late May or early June. It pours hazy burnt amber under a light tan 1” head that produces thick lace. The nutty beer lightly sweetened by pale caramel rolls over the tongue with a very creamy texture leading to an assertive but not harsh bitter finish with a light fruit flavor somewhere between pineapple and peach. A very fine soft texture gives the beer an airy feel.
