12 oz bottle into a stange. Bottled in late March 2011.
A - Pours a hazy amber with a magnificent 2 finger tan head. Very good retention on it with sticky lacing.
S - Mostly grassy, piney hops. Touch of citrus. Nice bready malts in there too. Smells like a DIPA should.
T - First you get the malt bill then a very quick snap of earthy, piney hops comes in. Has a very earthen flavor but not overly done.
M - Its medium bodied, moderate carbonation and smooth. A little bit of an oily feel too. Drinkable with the 9.0% pretty well hidden.
O - All in all its a good DIPA. Lingering bitterness here for sure if thats your thing. Its more earth than citrus in the hop notes.
