Poured from a 750ml into a brandy snifter.
A: Pours a nice dark orange. A few bubbles form but die out immediately. No retention or lacing.
S: Tangy lactic funk and sourness pervades the aroma. Nice backing of mildly sweet cherry flesh.
T: Immediately fills the mouth with a very puckering red-fruit sourness. Tart cherry and raspberry, a bit of balancing oak, lactic yogurt. Lactic notes really come out in the finish, with a bit of warming alcohol.
M: Very little carbonation, medium-bodied.
O: The sourness overpowers the other elements that should be going on (cherries, oak), and the lack of carbonation is detrimental to the mouthfeel and appearance. Other than that, it's not bad at all. Nice first try at sours for CW.

not even sure when or where I got this but I've definitely had it for a while. decided to pop a few things taking up space and this one fit that bill.
this is the first batch corked and caged. semi transparent amber color. nose is pungent. taste is a bit mellower...little watery but definitely palatable. drinkable...not too sour but getting there.

Had a pour at Local Option May of '14 and I think at the Great Taste of the Midwest 2014. Loved the cherry tart and flavor. Exceptional sour and pucker going on as well. Loved this and wish it would come back!
