750ml C&C bottle split with friends at Northdown Taproom and Cafe. Served in a mini pint glass.
A: Pours a murky amber and brown combination with a thin off white head the disippates quickly to a thin collar. No real lace left on the glass.
S: Some light oak and cherry tartness is present on the nose with some sweet fruit as well. Smell is decent, but nothing really stands out and I'm not getting any of barrel qualities.
T: The taste follows the nose, but it definitely has more of a lactic sourness to it. Slight bit of funk as well with some tart cherry skins. Again the barrel is really non-existant.
M: Medium carbonation lingering on the lower end with a medium body. There is slight drying finish to this.
O: Well the barrel wasn't really there and the cherries sort of got muted in the flavor. It was a nice take on the flanders, but overall it didn't click.

not even sure when or where I got this but I've definitely had it for a while. decided to pop a few things taking up space and this one fit that bill.
this is the first batch corked and caged. semi transparent amber color. nose is pungent. taste is a bit mellower...little watery but definitely palatable. drinkable...not too sour but getting there.

Had a pour at Local Option May of '14 and I think at the Great Taste of the Midwest 2014. Loved the cherry tart and flavor. Exceptional sour and pucker going on as well. Loved this and wish it would come back!
