Tap takeover at Dexters. Black medium thin body. Sweet rye aroma. Good amount of rye on the nose. So good. Sweet chocolate taste with a good amount of rye taste. This needs to be bottled! Excellent! (198 characters)

A- Darker brown body, half finger white head that drops quickly into a thin collar.

S- Milk chocolate aromas, a bit of rye whiskey permeates the nose, but for the most part it isn't particularly complex in any way even when it warms up.

F- Smooth milk chocolate, rye whiskey, mildly burnt malt, bitter black coffee.

M- Thinner-medium body, a bit harsh on the finish, although not terribly hot.

O- Decent stout, but a bit thin. I think the rye whiskey on its own doesn't impart enough complexity to the base beer. (519 characters)

On tap at Stubbys

A - pours dark brown, no head to speak of

S - spiciness of rye, chocolate follows

T - fantastic, lots of the rye barrel, then coffee, roasted malt, just enough chocolate

M - smooth, thicker than the bourbon barrel aged

O - wow, a different take on a great beer, the rye barrel aging gives a unique twist to one of my favorites (359 characters)
