Presentation: It was poured from tap and served in a pint glass at the Rohrbach brewpub.

Appearance: The body has a light yellow gold color with light haze and a small bright white head. The head slowly fades to wispy thin covering as I drink and makes a little bit of slick lacing along the way.

Smell: In the nose I pick up a delicate light grain with mellow citrus hops and a light blueberry sweetness.

Taste/Palate: Just like the nose, the flavor brings light pale grain and white bread maltiness with light citrus hops and a thin blueberry syrupy sweetness. The finish is light and fairly dry. Its light bodied and a bit thin but defiantly drinkable.

Notes: Overall it's drinkable and clean but not something I will be seeking out.

A wonderful fruit beer done right. Not too much fruit and solid drinkability without being a watered down or over carbonated mess. The flavor remains consistant throughout the whole beer and is a good choice for a session beer out at the bar as it is light and not filling or as a great addition to the porter which is affectionatly named a "black and blue"

Appearance- It is a light golden grassy yellow with a nice white head and lace.
This beer looks like the good stereotype of a beer.

Smell- The berry smell is predominant as should be but the malts are there in the nose too. There is even a light hop aroma.

Taste- Great berry and hop taste blended together this is a great example of this style beer.

Mouthfeel- There was a lot of fizz bite to this beer. The body is pretty light though and clean.

Drinkability- A very crisp and refreshing beer.

A - Light colored, not too exciting. Small if any head. But coming from a growler, what do you expect.

S - Love that blueberry smell coming out of the glass. Makes you think like the beer part is secondary.

T - Good taste. Nothing really special. Feels like the focus is on the blueberry and not the beer supporting it.

M - Very light in the mouth, not too strong at all

D - Drinkability or danger. This stuff goes down real easy and can make pint night at this great place a lot of fun. great for the growler at parties when introducing people to new beers. And it's local and down the stree from my job (at least for me), so i'll support it.

This beer is my favorite Blueberry Ale. Whether on tap at a Rochester Red Wings game at Rohrbach's or in a growler from Beers of the World. This beer does not disappoint.

The beer pours a very light straw color with a relatively thick white head. It smells just as you would expect, like blueberries, but there is also a hint of wheat like an American pale ale.

Taste is very blueberry, but not overpowering at all, quite refreshing. After the initial berry taste, the beer has a nice wheaty warming to it. There is nothing better while watching baseball on a warm summer day.

Mouthfeel is what you would expect, crisp and thin. Overall, I would recommend this beer.

Had this on tap at the brewery. A really great blueberry beer if I've ever had one. Pours a slightly hazy dark yellow with adequate lacing. Aroma is of sweet grains and mild blueberry. As for taste, this is probably one of the best blueberry beers I've ever had. It's strong in blueberry flavor, but not sickening like a lot of them out there. A nice balance between the fruit and the malt. No detectable hops forthright. Also, it's a nice medium body- a lot of wheat fruit beers can be too much like flavored soda water but this one definitely screams out "BEER." Overall, very nice. Would buy again.

Edit: Ok, not a wheat beer but my description stays about the same. Great beer, great use of blueberry flavor.

Picked up a growler of this at Rochesters Beers Of the World.

Poured a clear golden yellow with a thin foamy white head. Minor lacing, head retention is poor.

Smells a tad wheaty, light malt, blueberry is very mild.

Taste is very mild. Light wheat profile, blueberry flavor. Blueberry seems almost like an afterthought, and despite the name the flavor doesn't dominate or even shout to you. Mild malt. If I hadn't known I'd have thought this was a hefe or wheat beer with the fruit added as an afterthought.

Mouthfeel is very light bodied, crisp and fresh, really the best part of this beer.

Drinkability is good. I could down a growler of this by myself on a hot summer day, and I'll be getting this growler refilled.

A: Pours a golden yellow color with just a little cloudiness in it. A little foamy lacing, but not much.

S: A distinctive but subtle sweet blueberry aroma along with a fair amount of wheat and a bit of lemon peel.

T: Pretty grainy flavor: wheat, bread, biscuits, etc. A distinctive blueberry is also detectable especially in the finish. A subtle bite of pepper in the finish as well.

M: A pretty light body with a strong bite from the carbonation.

D: A pretty nice drinking beer from a solid local brewery (for me). Nothing extraordinary jumped out at me, but a decent blueberry beer overall.

One of the best fruit beers I've ever had. First, beneath the blueberry flavor is a fine pale ale. Then, there's just enough fruit flavor to enhance the brew and not overwhelm it. Excellent.

Ask most beer geeks what they think of fruit flavoured beers, and they will usually reply with the same answer. "No thanks".
Actually, it's a lot like the way a Miller drinker shuns anything with a little colour as "one of thosr dark beers."
I have had a life changing moment. Oh, lordy, I am a changed man. I have seen the light and it was in the form of a fruit beer.
Not the best beer I have ever had, this is one of the best fruit beers I have ever tried.
Pouring a clear golden colour with little head, it looked almost like a lager. But then the aroma hits you. Sweet blueberry fills the air around you and really takes over your senses. It was like walking into a house with a blueberry pie in the oven.
The taste was just as breath taking. Fresh blueberries overwhelmed me tastebuds

From notes.

Golden yellow with a white head that didn't last very long. Very grainy, nearly bready with a light dose of blueberries. The taste is identical to the aroma. Not much aftertaste, but the blueberry seems slightly artificial. A light bodied beer with a smooth feel. Otherwise a very boring beer in my opinion. Well made, but very boring.

Had this beer on tap. Decided to give it a try. Appears as a light golden color with a average head, this beer does lace the glass well. The smell is of blueberry. The beer has a definite blueberry taste to it but not overwhelming. Mouthfeel is one of a light carbonated beer. Not my thing but if you like the fruit flavors then you should give it a try.

Thanks to Steve for sharing a growler from the brewery. Served in a pint glass at a few degrees over fridge temperature.

Appearance- Pours a pale, translucent gold with just a bare trace of chill haze. The stark, white head peaks at just over an inch and laces moderately down the inside of the glass.

Smell- Full, colorful aromas of fresh blueberries, even more like blueberry yogurt. There is a bready character as well, along with the nose of active yogurt cultures. Fantastic.

Taste- Yeasty, yogurty notes that carry the blueberry flavors across the palate, but thankfully there isn't an overly sweet presence. Again, very well done.

Mouthfeel/Drinkability- Carbonation is just right, very impressive coming from a three day old growler... it allows the true flavors to open up and the finish is smooth. Never have I been so enamored with a fruit beer this good or this drinkable... I could easily session this guy all night.

you have to judge these things on what they are, not comparing it to a consecration or anything, which i think people sometimes fall into the trap of doing. this is a small timey summer fruit beer, made to be fruity and not wild or rustic or anything but blueberry, and i think in that context its nice, beats a seadog or something like that for sure, and i think thats is peer group. no color to it, surprised not to see pink or blue or purples in here, but its a blonde looking ale, simple enough right? the nose and taste are blueberry preserves, sweet and fruity and even mildly gelatinous, but the blueberry is also real, not artificial in any way, just tons of it. almost too much to appreciate it as a beer. one of the things i think magic hat really got right way back when number 9 was pushing the envelope, was the fact that the fruit tastes real, but its beer before fruit, and even a hippy beer at that. this falls short of that lofty and always moving target, but its not way way off, and i like it for that. malty wheaty down below, and not overly sweet in the finish. i think these guys are far better at other styles, but this one serves a real purpose in its market, and id be surprised if it doesnt sell well for them this time of year.

Rohrbach BlueBeary Ale is a slightly hazy golden ale with a small white blotch of a head with some rainbow bubbles. The aroma is of fresh, light grain, blueberry, lemon and orange peel. It is a slightly sweet and medicinal nose. It has a very smooth medium-light body with a pretty crisp finish. The blueberry is not as prominent in the flavor as it is in the aroma. It has nice balance and good bitterness, which seems to come from Cascades.
