Label lists: "artificial flavor, artificial sweetener, artificial color"... so what's left? Not lambic, that's for sure. Not sure why Mort Subite doesn't export their traditional Oude Gueuze & Kriek, they can keep this saccharine junk.

Nice scarlet tone from the artificial coloring, which must be also responsible for the pink foam. Highly charged with co2, the cork pops with a bang and a wisp of gunsmoke. Copious clumps of lace in the glass almost redeems it.

Artificially sweet raspberry, floral like a raspberry soap at grandma's house.

Lightly tart and vaguely oxidized, some bland papery malt. Middle is sweet like raspberry candy, verging on cloying, but less so than Lindemans. Carbonation is spritzy. Sticky sweet on the lips. Fruit seems more like candy syrup than actual raspberries.

Overall this isn't terrible for an artificially sweetened & flavored lambic, but it's fake and that's the bottom line. Try a traditional lambic for something worlds better than this wannabe raspberry wine-cooler. Review #55 - Lambic-Fruit category.

Amber reddish color with a thick two finger head with good retention and leaving laces.
Nice predominant aroma of raspberries with a Lambic tartness. Hints of caramel malt and wood.
Intense sweet taste of ripped raspberries with a clear tartness base. Occasionally funky. Hints of lemon, soap, sweetener and oak. Dry and acid aftertaste.
Medium body with low carbonation with tiny bubbles.
It is just overly sweet (why the hell they even added sweetener?). Though, it should be a good pairing with desserts.

Poured from 375mL corked & caged bottle into a tulip.

Appearance: nice amber-pink hue with a very light haze and not much in the way of apparent effervescence. Head is two thick fingers of creamy ivory-pink foam leaving a thick lace as it dissipates. Quite nice.

Smell: strong raspberry aroma, but not overly sweet. Not much in the way of tartness, but quite nice otherwise.

Taste: lightly sweet with a good raspberry flavor. Raspberry character is a bit less intense than in the aroma, which is welcome. Sweetness balances the fruitiness, but again, not much in the way of a wild character or sourness. Still, I really like the fruit element.

Mouthfeel: light with a moderate carbonation. Not creamy, but decent enough for the style.

Overall: I really like the fruit flavor accomplished here. If you're into framboise, it's definitely worth trying.

A-Pours a pinky, reddish amber color. Big, giant head with pink tints. Lots and lots of lacing.

S-A bit musty and quite sweet. Sweet raspberry. Like a mix between a Cantillon and a Lindemans framboise. The label says it's got artificial flavor in it, so that's not awesome. It smells fairly artificial.

T-The flavor is decently artificial but it has some fairly organic qualities. Sweet raspberries. I feel like I can grind the sugary taste in between my teeth. Strawberries too. Not a start as I want. I equate raspberries with tartness and it's sweetness makes me think more of strawberries.

M-Soft carbonation. A bit fuller than I expected. Sticky.

O/D-Like a bridge between Lindemans and Drie Fonteinen and Cantillion. Definitely closer to the former. Don't love the 'artificial flavor' thing here. That's why this is a $6 for a 375ml as opposed to a $20 375ml from the big boys.
