Now the peach, on-tap at à la Mort Subite. On to the beer:

The color of shiny orange with yellow hues is visible in the glass. A frosty cream head tops the beer and retains well while leaving a good showing of lace. The aroma is, simply put, peach syrup, yet it's very appealing to my nose. Perhaps my fondness with the Lindemans version is the reason why.

The flavor says intense peach. As I anticipated from my sample of the Blanche, this beer is less of a lambic and more of a fruit beer. Call it peach candy with a bit of booze. Pretty one dimension, though who doesn't like peaches? It's a medium bodied beer with a somewhat syrupy texture.

Not a real lambic, but sometimes you have to throw it out the window and just enjoy the beer. This would great to drink during a brunch.

Bottle poured into a tulip. A La Mort Subite. Brussels, Belgium. Notes from April 2011.

A: Pours as an orange gold color with a nice white head and a small amount of lacing.

S: As would be guessed, the beer has a nice peach aroma. The smell is primarily sweet, but there is a hint sourness present.

T: Sweet yet tart peach flavor permeates this lambic. Still on the artificial side of things.

M: Light body with heavy carbonation.

O: Not as artificial as Lindemann's but still more sugary sweet than more traditional lambics.

A: The pour is a cloudy gold-orange color with a fluffy white head which leaves some spotty lacing.

S: There are certainly some nice peach aromas in this beer. The fruit leans heavily toward the sweet side, but there is a light touch of tartness.

T: The flavor is a bit better off than the nose. The peaches are certainly on the sweet side again, but the tartness is more pronounced. That's not to say, however, that this is anywhere near as tart as a usual (traditional) lambic.

M: The body is on the lighter side of medium with plentiful carbonation.

D: This is a bit too close to the Lindemans products for my tastes. Still some nice flavors going on, and not quite as artificial as many peach items can be, but overall not something I'd seek out.

Although not as industrial-seeming as the kriek, the mort subite peche holds the same unamazing-by-comparison thing to it. nicer nose, softer, less chemical tasting although in any case the offspring of a nestea peche and a cream ale perhaps. nothing too amazing, but decent and drinkable.

Sorry but this following comment is in french :

Appearance : lambic à la pêche, belle mousse
Smell : nez fruité (pas uniquement de pêche)
Taste and mouthfeel : goûts fruités
Drinkability : bière aromatisée correcte mais sans plus de la brasserie keersmaeker

Pours a slightly cloudy medium peach (fancy that) with a large white head that leaves thick lacing. Smells predominantly of peaches, with some tartness and yeast in the background. Tastes peachy and subtly tart with some dryness in the finish. Mouthfeel is a little sticky, but creamy as well, and not unpleasant. It's nicely drinkable and a pleasant bew, even if it's not exceptionally complex.

Pours bright gold with a huge rocky and creamy looking ivory head. Fizzy. Sheets of lace. Smells of sweet peach.

Taste is more tart than the smell which is nice. It's sweet but balanced a bit with a tartness, not quite sour but close. Mouth is creamy and slightly sticky. Tasty and straightforward. Does the job

Pours a slightly hazy sparkling orange with a fluffy white head. Smells strongly of sweet peaches and not much else. Tastes a sweet peach, with not too much tartness. Tastes good, but needs to be a little more tart to be a better example of the style. Mouthfeel is very smooth, quite sugary, definitely a good introduction to Lambics, but I definitely prefer something a little more tart.

Pours a clear, bright yellow colour, with a frothy white head, good lacing. Strong peache aroma oozing out of the bottle. Sweet, sugary, peachy. Like peach gummy candy. For a lambic, it was all too sweet. Tartness was present, but somewhat lacking. Overall, a very refreshing, easy drinking borderline beer. Good amount of carbonation. Light bodied, highly drinkable.

Bottle – Poured a peachy color brew with a nice bubbly head. Aroma of peach is very detectable and smell a bit too much like aroma then real peach. Taste is very sweet, almost like peach juice. Carbonation is good. Overall, another very refreshing Lambic but not enough tart or complexity.

Carefully poured from an aged bottle it's still slightly hazy, peachy in color (how appropriate?), and topped by a thin but creamy white head. The head drops quickly to just a thin and creamy collar, but it does leave some spotty lace throughout the entire glass (which is nice). The aroma is of a softly bready and sugary peach character. It's not very authentic in any way, but it is welcoming! The body is light/medium with a very fine and restrained carbonation that gives it a creamy mouthfeel and adds to it's smooth fruitiness. The flavor offers a sweet combination of round maltiness and syrupy peach with only a very, very minor touch of background lambic character. It's basically candyish peach throughout the mouth, but it does finish with a touch of acidic dryness. Although "Mort Subite" means sudden death, that can only refer to the head retention in this case. There's nothing at all threatening about it. I was expecting much more from this, but in the end found it to be one of the more sweet and "flavored" lambics available. It's not at all impressive from a traditional point of view, and it's too expensive to act as a springboard into the more traditional fruit lambics. It would, however, make and exceptional dessert beer.

Pours out golden, with about the proper amount of head. Nose is lambic. The taste: much like their gueuze, but with what I found to be a relatively subtle peach flavour over top. Quite sweet.
Smooth, drinkable, and peaches are my favourite fruit, so this gets a good nod.

Very sweet peach cordial type flavour, nothing really lambic like in this one, nothing even remotely beer like in this one, this one is obviously sweetened, but i suppose it is drinkable.
