LOVE my 'Boddies'! This a wonderfully smooth beer, enjoyed best cold and poured full tilt into a (British) pint glass. Because of the internal 'widget' it will not overflow the glass*. Let it settle for a beautiful creaming head and ENJOY!
*A US pint glass is smaller so prepare to stop as you reach the top.

August 2018: Keg half pint at The Chambers, St. Helier, Jersey. Deep golden to copper colour. Moderate malty and grainy aroma. Smooth flavour, some malts, but the hops are too modest.

Just meh. Not a lot of flavor. Kind of boring, honestly.

Look :- It's a draught beer and does the whole settling thing very nicely in its glass . Once settled it's a deep golden brown colour with a thick, creamy head that's still so what present upon finishing. Lacing like nobody's business too.
Smell :- Vague alcohol and nice, sweet, fruity banana .
Taste :- Creamy banana with a slight hops bitterness . Mellow . Sweet but not too sweet.
Mouth feel :- Creamy and lightly carbonated.
Overall :- A lovely beer , nice and balanced , super pretty to watch settle . .

Copper body. Small white head. Taste is a acrid and a bit like dirt. Body is thin but creamy. Mouthfeel is a stale dirty bitterness but not overpowering. It's okay for cheap macro bitter. Good to offer visitors who are not discerning and who are generally over 60.

Tried this not too long ago. It was dreadful. Enjoyed the looks. Nice copper(ish) colour with a pleasant looking head. What wasn’t pleasant was the taste. Almost a fake bitter taste and a banana after taste which I would’ve enjoyed was it not so watery. I advise to skip and get something better such as Landlord by Timothy Taylor’s or John Smiths.

Grew up in Manchester and bought a can for old times sake. After all, I had reasonable success with a number of old British favourites (Fullers ESB, Spitfire, Old Speckled Hen, etc). Not this. Boddington’s distinctive bitterness is gone replaced by something bland and smoothed out. Admit it, this beer id s victim of big brewery acquisition, and brewing by accountants an marketers.

Shame that they kept changing the recipe, I remember it used to have some estery banana characters, but now it only has vague bitterness and a smoothfeel. I find it's perfect for getting smashed on though, very easy to get a lot down.

A classic Mancunian brew, looks stunning as it settles in the glass, no real smell but a great creamy mouthfeel. A little sweet then a little bitter, this is subtle in every aspect.extremely low abv too.....i could sink half a dozen of these on a summer day.
