Pours to a deep brownish gold color with a thick creamy white head and lace -- the nitro does its job. Smells like sweet hay. Taste is malty caramel to start with a slightly bitter finish. It's Okay, but nothing special. I prefer the German and Belgian beers. Won't be buying again.

16 ounce can into a nonic pint glass. Best by 6/20/24, had 1/29/24.
Pours a brownish golden color, clear, with a one inch creamy foam head with great retention and a good amount of foamy lacing. Aromas of banana (which mostly fades), malt, light caramel, some wheat. Smells a little herbal. Flavors of banana (at first, quickly fades), malt, light caramel. Tastes earthy and herbal, with some light herbal bitterness. Smooth, creamy, a decent light body, well carbonated.
This might be a classic, but for me, there’s not much here. Not aromatic, not all that flavorful. It’s certainly well made, just not very appealing.

The widget did its job and now there's a nicely carbonated pint of beer inside a clear glass liter mug. Despite the carbonation, it's a very modest just-off-white head. The brew is light and bright copper-amber that's rather translucent. The aroma is barely distinguishable from an American adjunct lager, maybe just a little more muskier, or earthy. Like all the widget driven brews, this is amazing soft across the tongue. Continuing with the mouthfeel, it's light, but smooth for all it brings. The taste is just a little more bitter and less sweet than commercial American lagers. It's slightly more flavorful, but that's faint praise. The glass lacing is substantial, especially for something that drinks as lightly as this. To say it drinks lightly is not to say it drinks thinly. For a session ale, in these times, there's enough body to go with enough taste to make this a go to. There's nothing exciting here, just a high quality pub ale that could be had all night. Isn't that what it's for?

Poured into my classic Carlsberg 8 oz. glass from a 16 oz. can. Not impressed with this ale at all. Left hardly any head after pouring and no lacing. Mouthfeel is good at first, but the back end is bitter (expected) and sour (not expected.) Bought a four pack and won't be buying again. If I knew that InBev bought this brand out, I wouldn't have bothered to purchase.

You cannot drink this beer from a can. If you do you’re not ever going to appreciate its true nature.
Granted it’s not a great beer but from a tap it’s a classic nitro with the taste of Britain with every sip.
Beer snobs won’t agree…fine….slim chance of finding this on tap outside of maybe Churchills I’m NYC anyway, but if you ever see it give it a go. It’s Worth at least a pint…..

This stuff is great, the closest thing to bitter in the USA.

Quick cold can into a pint glass.
This is basically a beautiful woman that doesn’t know how to kiss. All looks, no substance, creamy head, smooth body, weak, bland, the end.

I would rather drink the outlet from the sewage treatment plant than this. It is DISGUSTING.

16 ounce can poured into a nonic pint glass.
Looks great! The large creamy head seals in the crystal clear, light amber pour. The thick bone-white foam doesn’t quit and leaves some lace.
White bread aroma and to a lesser degree, sweet spicy hops make up the moderate strength nose.
It goes down smooth but a bit watery with very low malty flavor to open. Flavor picks up a bit at the dry finish. Mild woody bitterness closes it out.
I’ve had this on tap before and I think this is fairly close. Seems to hit the mark but low on flavor and less sharp than most English Pales I have had. Still, a decent pint of beer.

A- good fluffy head as to be expected, looks a bit on the thin side, golden straw color.
S-buttered biscuits, not bad but very simple and a bit faint
T-surprisingly I get a bit of candied fruit, some grassy malt, with an unfortunate metallic finish taking away a bit from what was a surprisingly good taste
M-outstanding
O- people are going to sleep on this because it’s owned by INBEV. While I agree that a Fullers is better in all regards as are a slew of other beers, you can’t find those in your local wal mart in the US. This is a good gateway beer for people looking to try something different than a bud light
