Poured a 440-ml can into a pint glass.

Appearance - golden ale with a creamy white, sustaining head.

Smell - the thick head seems to cut down on the aromas. From what is there I get some faint hops and grains.

Taste - pretty sweet flavour, and obviously little carbonation. More sweet than I would prefer. The aftertaste is better, when the sweetness acts to balance the rather flat maltiness.

Mouthfeel - there's just not quite enough fizz in this format to deliver the total satisfaction I'd look for from the flavour profile of this product.

Drinkability - not poor, but I'd spend my time and money on something else on most occasions. (645 characters)

Know that rattle when you shake up a can of Boddingtons? That's a kid's tooth. (78 characters)

Have had this many times either in the nitro can or nitro tap I had a few days ago at the Spring House Drafting Room.Pours a deep yellow with a very nice looking creamy head, not much smell to it somewhat metallic and a little biscuit malt but not much. The flavor is pretty bland and dry with some slight maltiness. It does not taste as good as it looks for sure. (361 characters)

A nice looking beer. This guy was very smooth, creamy, and really easy to drink. My school's pub serves this on tap, and I really wish I'd gotten around to tasting it earlier. Easily a session beer. It would be nice if it had a bit more malt flavor, and some kind (ANY) kind of smell. (284 characters)

Appearance – This is one of the clearest ales that I have ever seen. It’s light orange and sheer as glass. The nice white foamy head never did go down all the way. This one looks terrific.

Smell – This has a rather light floral and citrus aroma without much of a malt balance. It smells like a session beer.

Taste – The taste doesn’t quite measure up to the aroma. There’s a bit of grass that invades the citrus and floral hopping, and the weak malt base doesn’t help. It’s not that it tastes bad, just a little too single-minded.

Mouthfeel – This ale is thin and extremely smooth, verifying my earlier assumption that it would make a great session ale. The feel on the mouth is light and puffy.

Drinkability – I enjoyed this one, although I’ve never had the opportunity to knock back a few Pale Ales in England proper. Maybe it doesn’t compare – but for the time being and keeping this one on my list of “buy again.” (944 characters)

Poured from nitro-can, it had a nice golden color, almost amber. Love the creamy nitrous head. A slight sweet and malty scent, but very faint. Taste smooth and very mild. No bitterness at all. Others have mentioned a honey taste (and there is a bee on the label), but I just didn't taste it. It was more of a slightly sweet ale flavor, but no honey that I could taste.

Creamy like a Guinness, due to the nitrous widget in the can. The ale itself is rather thin and not very carbonated, but get a sip of that creamy nitrous head with every gulp. I could have a couple of these easily. Like a better, less watery version of Guinness. (633 characters)

Now that I've had this ale a few times, from the can, not much of a rating difference. I've had a chance to whiff the aroma, and upped the rating a half point, but everything else is still the same. Compared to the on-tap review I did. This ale is very good. Beyond drinkable in my opinion at this time. (303 characters)

Pours clear autumn orange with a pillowy white head. Cream soda like in the aroma, maybe a lightly hopped cream soda. Really mellow flavor, a little bland but the hops do come in late and offer a shot of bitterness if you're looking. Typical mouthfeel for a nitro-can. Chuggable though not really desirable. (307 characters)

Boddingtons Pub Ale.

A- Starts as a massive foamy cup of liquid, then turns into a very impressive carmel colored beer with excellent one inch head that hangs around for the whole pint. Creamy look that is very appealing. Heavy lacing on the glass... great retention.

S- Mild but there. Quick smells of carmel and milky malts upfront. Small barley and hints of sweet brown sugar and coffee.

T- Starts with a very mild milk like flavor of malts, barley and small traces of coffee.

M-D- Mouthfeel is smooth as water on the tongue. Rich milk-like feel is then off set with an easy light cabonation to finish. Pub like beer with heavy drinking qualities. Definitly a dinner beer light and great tasting. (703 characters)

This is a great beer. It's perfect for cold weather. The head is what makes this beer perfect. Nose is excellent. I'd recommend this beer to a person looking to spend some time with some imports.

Also, It's fairly cheap for an import. I It's just as good as most other British beers. (284 characters)

I hadn't ever tried this beer, but we were at a high-priced restaurant for dinner, and this seemed like the best offering from their beer list. It is rather pretty, a nice gold color with a very thick white head. Mostly nondescript thereafter. A mild grain aroma. Somewhat sweet taste with a little bit of hops. But it was refreshing, and I would imagine it to be sessionable. (376 characters)

Presentation: 1 pint "Draughtflow System" can. Poured into a proper Imperial pint glass.

Appearance: An amber brew with slight chill haze. An amazing cascading effect produces a 1 finger thick perfect nitro-induced creamy white fluffy head that sticks to the glass and never goes away.

Smell: Clean. Faintly floral with dextrins, faint fruity esters and metallic in the aroma.

Taste: Silky. Silky smooth, soft and creamy. Body is medium. A toasty malt sweetness starts of the experience, it's thin though but gets better as the beer warms. Hops are very gentle, not overly bitter, but rather complementary, floral in taste. Hops are also slightly raw and leafy in the feel. There's some coarseness and bitty-ness that follows, along with a strong metallic flavour on the palate. This carries through into the finish as the beer dries up with a mouthful of strong grain tannins and a grain husk/powdery feel.

Notes: Not a dreadfully bad brew. It's rather mild, making it an okay session bitter for fans. However, the metallic and grain tannin aftertaste is a bit much for my palate and rather annoying. The aftertaste literally murders this beer. I wouldn't purchase this beer for my own consumption.

And, too bad about the nitro. Nitro beers, in general, tend to mask a lot of the beers character ... which is why most nitro beers share common characteristics, regardless of their style. (1,392 characters)

this beer has a kick. Nice flavor and for what it is it is smooth. the plastic thingy inside is interesting, similar to the guiness tap in bottle. i dont know if it reallt enhances the flavor a lot or if it has a psycological affect more than a real effect. but in any event, it doesent taste bad at all. (304 characters)

Golden with very light carbination. Pours with that lovely Guinness like nitro pour that you just have to admire the glass. Thick ring of head that was about 1/8 inch when it sat there. Nitro tap so it comes out sooo nice and creamy and smooth tasting.... yum. Very balanced in flavor. Great bitterness, but not overly done. Hoppy, yet not too much. It is just such a great drinking beer. One you know you are safe with anywhere and anytime of the year. (453 characters)

Look out for the big rush of air and bubbles from the nitro can and have your pint glass ready. This beer pours with a thick and foamy head. Wonderful active bubbles slowly float to the top to form a thick white head. This creamy white head sits on top of a golden amber body with tons of tiny slow rising bubbles. The aroma is floral with some malty notes. The flavor is creamy, sweet and smooth. It has a very light malt character with a watery middle and some bitter hops in the finish. Overall it's a very interesting beer with smooth light flavors. (553 characters)

Delightfully smooth, nitro pale ale. Poured from a tallboy into a Sammy Smith pint glass. It has a Guinness-like "waterfall" effect when you look through the side of the glass.

This is a great go-to beer when there are no other craft beers offered.

Imagine a golden light copper colored beer that is creamy like Guinness, but no black coffee taste/smell/appearance. (369 characters)
