This beer was tasted several months ago.

Poured from a growler filled not 10 minutes previously into a shaker pint. A nice, slightly hazy, bright yellow color. Lacing was white to off-white and didn't stick arround too long.

Smelled of bittering hops and some grains.

Nicely bitter on the tongue and the malts almost held out. The finish seemed a little too bitter, but nothing out of line with the style.

Good carbonation, maybe a bit flatter than I'd like but it was a growler fill and I wasn't sure how expert the bartender was.

Quite drinkable. The bitter finish piled up after about three beers, but I was still willing to consider a fourth.

A good lager by a brewpub that usually does ales.

Draught in Torrington: This one pours a golden yellow color. It was clear, and had about 1 finger of a white head. It left a fair amount of lacing. The aroma was nice but a bit mild. There was some grassy and earthiness, and a hint of malt sweetness. The taste is clean and easy drinking. Mild amount of malts and a tinge of hops.

Served on-tap at the Cambridge House Brewpub in Torrington, Conn.

A: Poured a light, golden straw yellow color with a two-finger head of white foam. Lacing was adequate and carbonation lively enough.

S: Smells fairly light, sweet and grainy, with a bit of lemongrass and hay.

T: Flavor is light, semisweet, but dry and grainy. Lightly toasted cereal malts give off what little malt character this brew has. A little bit of hop spiciness presents itself mid-late palate and through the finish, which is clean and a little dry.

M: Mouthfeel is light-medium bodied, crisp and fizzy.

D: Good for a hot summer session or to pair with less sophisticated foods. I wouldn't order it habitually, but it's worth trying and pairing with a philly steak or open face turkey sandwich.
