I picked up a single can from a specialty beer store in Edmonton. I was tired and all I had was a hefeweizen glass that was clean, so I'm gonna use this. yep.
Beer pours a light amber colour - it's very pleasant to look at and looks much like any other well made IPA would look like. It came out with a LOT of head, like 4 fingers worth of shaving cream, damn. The smell of the beer is just outstanding - massive citrus smell, but this smell tapers off rather quickly. The taste is a lot like another recognizable IPA - Granville Island's Brockton IPA. The taste is immediately bitter as it hits my tongue, but once I let it linger I get some fruity tastes - peach and apricot come ti mind, and there is a good deal of residual bitterness that accompanies the fruity taste.
The mouthfeel is very thin going on, but you get a bit of thickness on the tongue when you swallow, and it is very palatable.
Overall, a very well made IPA - certainly one of the better Canadian craft IPAs I've had a chance to try.
