First brewed in1996, our flagship Muskoka Cream Ale has since become a signature beer of the Muskoka region. Unmistakable with its rich amber colour and inviting floral tones, this laid-back English pub-style ale is smooth and easy-going. With a Cascade hoppiness and fuller body of flavour, this gold-medal winning Canadian Cream Ale is the quintessential taste of cottage country. Raise a glass.

Recommended to me by a native Bracebridger (?) I met a few nights ago, as the beer you buy by the pallet for a Saturday night shindig, to appeal to the discerning masses, apparently...
This beer appears a clear light orange amber hue, with one skinny finger of wispy white head, which leaves a decent ebbing ring of lace as it duly recedes.
It smells of biscuit malt, and orange rind bitterness. The taste is light white cracker grain, a twinge of creme caramel, and moderately zingy earthy citrus hops.
The carbonation is quite mild, but no pushover either, the body creamy, well smooth, and medium full in weight. It finishes off-dry, the soft graininess and persistent hops doing well to tango to the end.
An inoffensive easy-drinking session ale, with a pleasing hop kick, to boot, in the Ontario tradition of mild English-style ales, awakened to the possibilities inherent in New World hops.

Look: The colour of orange pekoe tea, with medium carbonation. Pours with a thick 2 finger white head that gives way over 5 minutes leaving a small head across the top of the glass.
Smell: Very light nose. Mild tea.
Taste: Tea with a hint of caramel, dry finish....maybe a slight hint of green wood.
Feel: Smooth, medium bodied. Fills up the mouth, strangely leaves the tongue underwhelmed everywhere but the sides.
This beer is a solid B to a B+ in the right mood. Refreshing, subtle with a few interesting things going on as it warms. This is a great gateway craft beer to use as an introduction to friends new to craft beers.

One of my favorite cream ales. I’m not normally a fan of this style but the amber color, slightly thick feel for an ale, and just enough hop forward flavor works well
