After a long day of driving through potholes and attending various silly interviews for very bad jobs, I have returned home for a relaxing evening.

Appearance:
Body : pours a golden blonde with slight haze but mostly clarity. 10% opacity.
Head : tall and creamy to begin with, and then recedes to a small circle.

Smell.
Initial : Right off the bat blueberries invade the nose, reminding me of a dead-on comparison to my favorite cereal, Blueberry Frosted Mini Wheats.
With Agitation : not much room to agitate, but a maltier nose comes out along with more blueberry.

Taste.
Front : A beautiful blonde ale flavor, very beery, the malts and grains are very prominent here.
Back : By the time the beer hits the back of the palate, it morphs into a wonderful blueberry flavor with wheat, yeast, and lightly baked malts.
Finish : The wheat dries perfectly...I mean perfectly, and you're left with breaths of blueberry frosted mini wheats.

Feel.
Carbonated nicely to give it a pop and a perfect semi-dryness right at the end, giving it such an upper hand here.

Overall : A rating of "70" does not do this beer justice. Did I get an exception? Very well the best blueberry beer I have EVER had. Will be coming back for more.

Yellow beer, looked to professional to be a wheat and fruit beer. Should have some haze. Aroma didn't impart blueberry. Its a tough fruit in that regard though.

Tasted way too sweet. Sugar is not a substitute for fruit, nor wheat. Comes off just as much as an artificial soda flavor. Really comes off as no actual blueberries used in the recipe.

clear golden in color with lots of carbonation. really really nice blueberry on the nose. taste is refreshing and personally I enjoy it, but its a bit one dimensional and not anything too special. overall a good beer though, very easy to drink and also super refreshing!

KBC Blueberry Ale has a very thick, off-white head, that dies away sort of quickly, a clear, golden, bubbly appearance, and no lacing left behind. The aroma is of an initial strong whiff of blueberry, but that subsides and is replaced by bread with background blueberry. Taste is where this goes downhill- bread, some blueberry flavor, and a bit of a nasty sour-bitterness, backing it all up. Mouthfeel is rather light and watery, and KBC Blueberry Ale finishes mostly dry.

12 oz bottle, best by 02-03-16, poured in a hexagonal glass. Good blueberry aroma, and blueberry not overpowering, but there with a touch of sweetness. Refreshing beer.

The blueberries are just flat incredible on the nose but it's cloying, artificial and a bit flat on the palate. The backbone is a bit thin with a adjunct lager like persona.

KBC Blueberry Wheat
12 oz. brown glass bottle, notched "A" for August and "13" on 4/24/13

Basic blueberry extract wheat beer. Great aroma, OK flavor. Wheat malt base dominates over the blubbery flavor and subtle tartness. Moderate bitterness. Easy to drink but not particularly exciting beyond about 5 ounces. Clean and crisp. Easy to drink. I'd say 'average', but on a world-wide scale it's actually much better than that.

Pours a crystal clear golden delightfull color. Head is minimal as is lacing. Aroma is dominated by fresh blueberries. Taste definitely has the wheat character with sweet blueberry throughout. Blueberry is not overwhelming and adds a nice flavor and balance to this brew. Carbonation is good and finish is slightly bittersweet...

Had this one at a friend's house. Just remember that the aroma and taste are overwhelmingly blueberry. There is a wheaty malty undertone to both. You get it more at the end of the tasting. It is drinkable, but a little to blueberry and sweet for me.

Pours a golden color with a thin head into my glass. Looks like a typical american wheat to me.

Strong blueberry aroma that permeates the air. I can smell it only a few inches away. I can't tell right away if it's an extract or an artificial addition.

Weak blueberry flavoring makes it a chore to drink. However, it does have a clean footprint thanks to that solid wheat bill.

That solid wheat bill comes in handy for the finish. Inoffensive.

If you want to graduate from the $3.99 canned sixers at Trader Joes, for $2 more, you'll get this. They have other varieties though.

Yellow-tan and mostly clear, head dissipated quickly and no lace was present.

Smell was really, really blueberry, even upon first pop of the bottle cap. Not much else comes through, but the smell is pretty good, tho possibly a slight bit of a metallic note.

Flavor is mostly syrupy blueberry. Little wheat, little of much else besides blueberry, except the metallic taste is slightly more notable in the taste.

Body is thin and more carbonated like soda than the smooth carbonation of a wheat beer. Not especiallly impressed with this one.

Bottle #2 out of the mystery pack from Trader Joe's. I was fairly excited to see a blueberry wheat since I have never had one before. Quite frankly that would have been okay with me.

A-The bottle has an interesting design but I did not pour it into a glass to give a review on color (lazy night).

S-It has a blueberry smell but it has a strange skunky smell that makes it unappetizing.

T-I am rewriting this portion because as I drink more and more the blueberry flavor starts to really come alive.

M-Weak and empty in the mouth but goes down very easily.

O-I could never imagine buying this beer on purpose.

Do you remember grape kool-aid? This is very reminescent of that flavor and smell. Artificial, bland, and sickly sweet. I didn't know this was a beer until I looked at the label on the bottle. I would have been more inclined to believe it was a grape soda pop. If I could compare it to an alchoholic beverage...I would have to place it in the same category as mike's hard lemonade. Forget splenda, this is artificial, chemical sweetener at its best. Coming soon to a trader joe's near you. Kennebunkport Blueberry Wheat makes the perfect night cap to a hard night of drinking Trader Jose Cervesa. Because everyone knows that Trader Joe's has the best selection of fine ales. I thought I had found the best beer in the world when I discovered Simpler Times but then Kennebunkport Blueberry Wheat Ale came along and just hit the ball right out of the damn park.

Appearance: Pours a nice gold shade with good head and lacing. Carbonation creates plenty of bubbles.

Smell: Blueberry muffin.

Taste: Blueberry, wheat, caramel, and blueberry.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied. Aftertaste is the same you get after biting into a blueberry muffin.

The Verdict: Drinkable. If you made a blueberry muffin using Jiffy (the cheap brand of muffin mix) and blueberry extract and then ran it through your juicer, you would have a good approximation of what this tastes like. If you're looking for a liquid blueberry muffin with 4.6% alcohol, this is the place to go.

Hold a pint of this up to your nose and you will smell wheat and sweet berries. Unfortunately it smells like the sugary artificial berry syrup used in the cooking industry.

Take a drink and you will taste an incredibly bitter beer which leaves a soapy aftertaste in your mouth.

Rarely do I ever advocate not purchasing a beer. This is one time I must say, never buy it! KBC has a very good reputation and I was highly disappointed.

Hugely disappointing. Maine is known for its blueberries, so why this tasted like I just opened up a vending machine blueberry muffin then washed back with a Coors is beyond me. Pours a light gold with a thin bubbly head. Smell and taste is in your face with sickly sweet blueberries, but the kind that comes in fake syrup form, not the real deal. Finished somewhat bitter. Very odd and very poorly balanced. Although this beer is very light bodied, I couldn't possibly drink more.

Pours a clear medium golden with a half inch ivory head that quickly dissipates.

Reeks of blueberry as soon as the bottle is opened. Wheat and bready caramel malt become evident upon further investigation.

Blueberry is dominant throughout the flavor profile. Tastes like extract, almost like a cheap blueberry muffin. There's a bit of wheat and caramel malt at the base. There's also a slightly sour character.

Body is moderate to light, with moderate to spritzy carbonation.

It is what it is...blueberry and wheat. Blueberry overwhelms the beer flavor and is a bit fake.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a light golden amber with a half finger white head with good retention and no lacing. Aroma of fresh blueberries and a hint of sweet malt and wheat. Flavor follows with light, pleasant sweet and biscuit malt, blueberry syrup, finishing abruptly and lightly sweet. Light bodied, as expected. I liked this better than I expected, the flavors are light but well balanced, perhaps a bit on the sweet side, but not cloying. Might go well with a blueberry muffin or crisp.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a pint glass.

Pours a light to medium amber with no real white foam. Lighter berry nose. Strong blueberry wheat taste - light tartness throughout. Smooth, very little bitter. Tart close. Modest carbonation. Pretty good, but better blueberry beers out there for sure.

Appearance: Golden yellow and clear...which may confuse some as being a "wheat" beer, some may think cloudy, but not here!

Smell: Blueberry esters pretty much sums it up...whether natural or artificial; no idea, but one thing for sure...its blueberry!

Taste: Fruity blueberry taste, the taste has the potential to be something great but falls short, not the greatest build!

Mouthfeel: Thin, watery...medium light carbonation

Overall: Its the perfect "hide-a-beer" beer...a beer you can drink which others will think that you are drinking/eating something else...in this case they will think that you just finished eating a blueberry muffin! Not the greatest beer in the world but definitely fun to taste!

Grabbed this at my local Trader Joes. Poured into 10oz goblet. Poured a clean, slightly hazy, medium amber color with a very thin cap of of light tan head that immediately dissipated to a ring, thus zero retention and no lacing.

As soon as I uncapped this beer, I smelled the unforgettable scent of BooBerry cereal. Just an overly sweet blast of artificial berries that dominated even at arms length. There was no grain or malt, just syrupy sweetness. On the tongue, there was just a bit of grainy malts, other than that, just more Booberries.

The body was a bit thin and very sticky. Drinkability will depend on your tolerance for the over the top sweetness. I can only recommend this beer as a tick. If you're in the mood for this style, do yourself a favor and grab some Abita Purple Haze, a similar brew that is leagues better.

Had while sailing with my Family. Choices were this, Bud Light, or Black Cherry Soda.

A: Poured into a plastic pint mug (boat ware). Nice deep Amber color with great clarity. Normally a good thing, but I thought this was a wheat ale - guess I was expecting something else. 1 finger off white large bubbled head recedes to a thin ring quickly, no lacing visible (could have been the plastic...)

S: Blueberry syrup - like they have at the International House of Pancakes. A bit of malt and grain, but really dominated by the syrupy blueberries. A bit musty as it warmed.

T: Follows the nose at first - overwhelming artificial blueberry pancake syrup. I really thought this was going to be horrible, but since I was occupied with steering, the beer warmed and opened up a decent malted wheat twang that melded nicely with the blueberry flavoring. Dad agreed & set the rest of the sixer in the galley sink to bring it to cabin temp. Taste improved nicely, but still stayed "OK" as opposed to GREAT!! Finish is a bit overly sweet and lasts.

M: Thin & watery, yet manages to leave a bit of a slick on the tongue - not so nice - I think I'll go brush my teeth.

O: Actually not bad - Better than others I've tried. I still found it more interesting than Bud Lite. My Wife & Mom really enjoyed this (as we discovered when Dad went below for more). Wife swears it goes great with salad & crumbled blue cheese.

12oz bottle served in a standard pint glass.

pours a clear amber tone with a finger, finger and a half of puffy white head that dissipates fairly quickly; decent lacing though.

nose is malty, wheaty, and blueberries, although some of the blueberry aroma has an artificial note to it. flavor follows the nose; no big surprises there. i'm reminded of the cereal boo-berry. slight bitterness to the finish. light-bodied and crisp mouthfeel, if somewhat watery. it's not a bad beer, especially if you're into blueberry wheats, just a bit lackluster for my money.

Best before 11/2012.

Pours a slightly murky honey orange with a 1/2 inch foamy tan head that settles to an oily film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace slowly drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is of blueberry pankcakes or muffins, but more of an artificial or extract aroma than the real deal. Taste is pretty much the same but a bit watery flavor wise. This beer has a pretty good level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty average fruit beer that reminds me of a Sea Dog Blue Paw but just not as good. Definitely not as bad I was expecting based on word of mouth though.

A: Golden amber color, with just a touch of haze. Head was 1 finger of white foam, but faded rather quickly with scant lacing remaining.

S: Blueberries dominate (true to the name). There's also a citrus aroma, hints of the wheat and yeast, and a faint whiff of pepper.

T: Initially flavorful, with a nice balance of wheat, tart citrus, and blueberries, but the finish is a bit empty (there's a background of hops bitterness mixed with blueberry fruitiness, but nothing impressive).

M: Nice carbonation, and equal measures moist & crisp.

O: Above average for a fruit-infused American wheat ale. I like that the blueberry flavor doesn't taste like they poured in blueberry syrup (like some I've tasted). Still, it just didn't quite come together. It's decent, but not at all complex or exciting.
