A = Dark amber, with a sudsy, short-lived head which left minimal lacing.

S = Malty, some fruitiness and slight herbal smell.

T = Malty, some raisin fruitiness, peppery, bitter.

M = Dry, medium bodied.

O = A curious conpendium of taste and body. It leaves a bitterness on the tongue, which I'm not sure I like. Definitely worth a try, and definitely a nice change from the ordinary. (1 pt 9 fl oz bottle) (408 characters)

Decent example of an English ale. Nice frothy head and minimal lacing with this golden brown beer. Slightly watery in the taste, malt is ok and hop bitterness comes through slightly in the end and aftertatste (208 characters)

Bottle, poured into pub pint glass. Dark amber with a 1 inch off-white toward tan head that fades to a thin line with lacing after 5 minutes or so. Sweet, musty malt aroma. Moderate carbonation, typical for English ales. Body is on the thin side. A very English initial malt with a bit of bitterness tingling and bready yeast taste. The hops come through in the aftertaste, but only slightly bitter, which lingers on the tongue for a long time. If you like English pale ales, this one is a good example of the style. (516 characters)

Not at all what I was expecting. Quite dark, but the aroma is skunked green bottle euro lager. The taste is reminiscent of the roofing tR flavors one gets with the "Newcastle" that's brewed in the U.S. Pretty pitiful overall. (225 characters)

10/10/12 On tap at Rattle n Hum, NYC. I like this a lot. Fantastic balance of bitter & sweet. Solid texture w/out being cloying. My guess is it would be good for a full night out. (179 characters)

Pours a dark clear Amber with a massive thick head of beige foam. Tighter bubbles that retains really well.

Nose is almost all piney bushy hops with only hints of a sweet malt tone buried underneath.

Taste is first nice sweet malts and forward breads even a bit toasty. Hops come in with a bitter kick - more bitter herbs and deciduous forest flavours. Sappy caramel sweet underneath. Finishes with more bitterness and a bit of bread on the breath. Getting minerals in the aftertaste.

More med bodied with mild carbonation and oiliness on the palate.

This beer has a really nice back and forth between the Brady caramel malts and the resiny pine needle hops. They trade shots a couple times throughout a mouthful. Decent balance with the hops still being dominant. Overall a really nice drink with lots to like. (819 characters)
