Light brown ale. Pour gave a 1/2 finger light tan coloured head. The beer was scantly laced and mildly carbonated.
This beer was floral and fruity, with hints of treacle, dark fruits, nuts and earthy spice.
Similar to the aroma. Biscuity and slightly nutty, with hints of dark fruit and treacle. Nice floral spiciness from the hops.
Well balanced and tasty English ale. Toasted malt and floral bitter hops quite flavourful and balanced. Mild carbonation nice, doesnt detract from the malts and hops.
This is a very drinkable ale. Would make a nice session brew, as well as a decent brew to introduce a novice to the realm of craft brew. As long as this is readily available ill pick it up again.
Not sure why its marketed as a premium ale here in Canada. Guess they think it may be more accessible as such versus the ESB.
