Cask conditioned at The Pickerel, Cambridge. Deep golden colour. Very nice honey and flowery aroma. Flavour is moderately honey sweet, minimal bitterness. Some malts too. A bit thin mouthfeel, though. Not my favourite this one.

Pours a clear, amber coloration with a medium, frothy head. Smells of biscuity, grainy malt, herbal hops and honey. Taste is a good balance of biscuity, grainy malt, herbal, slightly floral hops and wildflower honey. Finishes with a light bitterness and some herbal hops and honey lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth aftertaste with a medium body and carbonation.

A pretty nice Pale Ale with a good balance of biscuity, grainy malt and herbal, floral hops, as well as a good wildflower honey note that never becomes too overbearing though. While this may be a little too sweet for my personal taste, it's really not that bad, making a pleasant, easy-drinking brew that's not too flavorful, but makes good use of the honey.

L- Very dark amber, clear, pours with 1Cm fine off-white head (which holds well).
S- From the moment I popped the bottle it was like a Jamaican rasta had walked into the room - pungent! That dissipates and up close I get honey and some grains.
T- Quite hoppy-dry, then honey comes along in the finish.
M- About as might be expected for a 5% heft-wise. The notable hops make it refreshing.
O- The honey seemed prominent at first, but seems to totally blend into the mix after a few mouth-fuls. So initially I thought I'd write a caution that 'perhaps it helps if you'd enjoy a quite prominent honey-note', I'm now not sure it matters much. Lable notes minimal, perhaps as they're in a total of 7 languages. Slightly different, zero out of place, I rather like it.
500ml £2.59 from Premiere Wine nr. Paddington station in London, the only place I've ever seen it stocked. BB: 31/12/19

Flat, dry finish on subdued taste. Nice aroma, and looks great, but not much else. Slightly sweetand some hop bitterness, but there’s better to be had....

Served cool from 500ml clear bottle into pint mug.

L) Light copper colour, clear, a few bubbles rising up, thin bubbly head.

S) Light English hops odour, definite whiff of honey cosmetics in the background.

T) A light Englsih blonde ale flavour, pleasant bit of hop bitterness and a nicely rounded honey flavour at the back, quite subtle.

F) Nice light body and carbonation. Easy drinker, no bitter aftertaste.

O) Nice easy drinking ale and the honey taste gives it a different aspect. Recommended.

I have to say I am not like you guys. I might go through all that nose and aroma BS with wine but when I'm out for a beer I certainly don't bother with it. I actually like the fact that the honey isn't overdone with this beer. There is just enough sweetness to soften the sharpness of the hops. I see many of you are prepared to rate a beer based on a mouthful or two. In that case you'd be happy with strong honey or strong hops. I will sometimes say "Mmmm. That's good!" to the barman on my first taste but that's not what's going to get me asking for that particular guest ale to make a reappearance. This is my absolute favourite, by the way. It's a session beer par excellence. The honey taste builds and lingers but never overpowers. Those that don't rate it please give it another go. Rate it after the third pint of an evening.
