poored from a bottle into a pint.
the appearance is nice, sort of a mid caramel color going on. my girlfriend commented that i just looked like iced tea. there is some mild beading going on. a moderate fluffy, rocky head. the head faded very quickly, it would have been a very attractive beer had it maintained this head.
smells like what the label says, nice sweet banana bread.
the banana flavor is shockingly underwhelming. while i found it good, i was expecting a banana bomb, it was not. it wasn't too much more bananaish than some german hefs. you get the initial banana flavor, a mild grain flavor, and a mild banana after taste that lingers.
kind of just a creamy and smooth mouth feel
while i consider this good, because of it's sweetness and odd flavor, it's a bit of a novelty, and while i would definitely buy it again if it tickled my fancy, it's definitely not something to drink a lot of or session on.
worth checking out though.

Poured from an 11 ounce bottle into a shaker pint glass. A moderate pour produces about a one inch creamy white head that settles down to a continuous 1/8 inch froth that coats the sides. The beer is an orange-amber with moderate carbonation.
Plenty of banana bread aroma, with spice, including some coriander. The flavor is even more like banana bread, and I sense a strong base of biscuity malt, wheat malt, and plenty of yeast funk. The banana flavor doesn't come across as contrived and is far from overbearing. Maybe a little apple in there somewhere. Fairly light in body with a crisp finish that includes a little bit of lingering spice and perhaps a little herbal hop bitterness.
A pretty unique brew and worth trying. This four pack of 11.2 ounce bottles was a bit pricy for my budget at over 10 bucks...but, oh well!
