bottle poured into large tulip
Semi-clear burnt golden yellow color with a thin crop of beige head. Fades into some bubbled film with little lacing left behind.
Plenty of banana scents...actually that's pretty much it. Hints of breadiness and toasted grain with fruit sweetness.
Sweet bananas up front with bready, grainy notes. Mild backbone with an artificial sweetness and a touch of caramel. Finishes with a sticky smack of banana bread.
Thinner medium body, decent carbonation, watery and sticky on the tongue. Basically a watered down, faux-sweet banana bread profile with some borderline-adjunct tendencies. Not terrible, but I wouldn't recommend this.

Poured from an 11 ounce bottle into a shaker pint glass. A moderate pour produces about a one inch creamy white head that settles down to a continuous 1/8 inch froth that coats the sides. The beer is an orange-amber with moderate carbonation.
Plenty of banana bread aroma, with spice, including some coriander. The flavor is even more like banana bread, and I sense a strong base of biscuity malt, wheat malt, and plenty of yeast funk. The banana flavor doesn't come across as contrived and is far from overbearing. Maybe a little apple in there somewhere. Fairly light in body with a crisp finish that includes a little bit of lingering spice and perhaps a little herbal hop bitterness.
A pretty unique brew and worth trying. This four pack of 11.2 ounce bottles was a bit pricy for my budget at over 10 bucks...but, oh well!
