16.9Oz bottle poured into a weizen glass. Bottled 08/31/08.
A: Massive head, vigorous carbonation on top of a deep amber body. Head recedes, leaving a bit of lace
S: Very mild, surprisingly so for a winter warmer. The nose is all malt up-front with a hint of rum and a little bit of nutmeg and nuts.
T: Tastes more like a brown/amber than a winter warmer. Malty with a mild hop finish(the British variety, not the Pacific NW). I don't taste the spices i'm looking for. As it warms up, hints of caramel appear
M: Pleasant, tickling the palate with lively carbonation
D: Could i drink another? Yes - this is a quaffer. Would I? Probably not.
This is the first Young's beer that's disappointed me
