Appearance: Pours a red/garnet shade with great clarity. My over-aggressive pour brought out a huge, creamy tan head which stuck quite well.
Smell: Butterscotch, a touch of malt, and a bit of skunk. There's an undercurrent of bread/toastiness as well.
Taste: Fairly one-dimensional with a slight butterscotch flavor. Has some of that bread flavor I picked up on in the nose. A bit of hops on the finish, as well as alcohol.
Mouthfeel: Fairly dry, with a slight oily feel and a light to light/medium thickness. Not as mouth-filling as a winter warmer should be...
Drinkability: Well, it's not bad...there are just so many winter warmers out there that are so much better. This is a very average brew...don't go out of your way to sample it.
