Been drinking this beer forever, and finally decided to sit down and review it. Dark black-brown pour with two finger tan head with decent retention and good lacing. As you would expect, lots of roasty dark chocolate and cocoa in the nose, along with hints of espresso, vanilla and caramel. The taste is much the same with the chocolate definitely the star, but not to the point to where it's too much. The roasted malt becomes even more prominent as it warms, with an almost smokey hint to it. Reminds me when I toured the old Ram Brewery outside of London and they had us taste the roasted barley. The mouthfeel is creamy and thick and oh so smooth. That, coupled with the low ABV, makes this incredibly drinkable. A classic and dependable beer.
