I had a bottle of this at the end of a tradeshow day. It was in a grolsch style resealable porcelain cork. I liked this a lot but I have no idea why it's called a German Pilsner. It was much too malty for that.

I drank it out of a bottle (I know) so I'm not sure what it looked like.

The aroma was very malty with a lot of dark fruit

The flavor was also very malty with dark fruit and pretty good carbonation.

Next time I try one of these I'll pour it into a glass and re-report.

A: Pours a nice brown hue with a tan head.

S: Bold aromas of toasted malt, brown sugar, and toffee.

T: Malty up front as well. Candied malt, brown sugar, toffee, and a big toasted malt. The middle to finish is quite hoppy and bitter. Long bitter finish.

M: Medium in body, rich, with a hopped up finish.

D: Pretty good. Very unique for a german beer.
