Poured from 1 pint old fashioned retro green pint bottle with a setback top (think art deco skyscraper....). The beer poured with a nice even inviting foam head, but was difficult to pour from the shapely bottle. The fluid was grainy and thick with a translucent amber or ruby color. The aroma was mostly sweet malt with a strong yeast overtone. Toffee? Metallic? The taste was a bit industrial. I am little worried about QC. Very creamy malt mouth feel and chewy bread aftertaste.... Not the greatest beer, but then, it does come in a very cool bottle (not the same bottle as in the picture below)..

After having a mediocre experience with Armenia's Kotayk Lager Beer at Jon's market, I was loath to try another cheap Armenian beer. However I decided to risk it as it was dark.
It pours like a Dr. Pepper from a green bottle. The aroma is like burnt caramel. The taste is all right, but leaves a woody taste in the mouth as if I had just chewed on an oak branch. Not amazing. Sorry, Armenia.

It's a one-note malty, fizzy, see-through brown lager. There is grain, yeast, malt flavoring (like the kind in milkshakes), some caramel and bread. On the positive side, the taste was fairly clean. Easy to drink. Low alcohol, high carbonation, light-medium body. I am not a fan.

I purchased a bottle of Kilikia Dark for $1.39 USD in Glendale, California, USA.
Look: Kilikia Dark had barely any foam.
Smell: Kilikia Dark had an aroma of cinnamon mixed with wheat.
Taste: Kilikia Dark had hints of burnt cinnamon mixed with wheat.
Feel: Kilikia Dark had medium carbonation.
Overall: Kilikia Dark is a dark beer with flavours of burnt cinnamon mixed with wheat. People who seek a low-alcohol/mellow/medium carbonation beer should try Kilikia Dark.

Bottle from Tres Bonne Cuisine. Pours out a caramel brown with a huge, fluffy beige head. Malt dominates this brew, aroma very sweet and musty. Taste is a bit more even, some nuttiness to go with the sweet malt.

not everyday you get the chance to drink beer from armenia, so im providing some leniency for what must be a beer that took forever to get here, and came in green glass. thats a couple of disadvantages right from the get go, but the beer in the bottle wasnt bad, especially considering these circumstances. chocolate brown to deep deep amber in color, showing light through only when held to the light, and with some very fine sediment swirling as well. it smells like stale malt, no mistaking that, but it has a cool nutty element and chocolate malt in it, as well as a definite lager yeast strain. the yeast has done its job well, as the beer has a round bready element in the finish, and is plenty dry. take the staleness out, and the grain bill would be simple yet clever and the beer would be on par with most in its category from europe. carbonation was just fine, and the medium body i found appropriate for the style. obviously this experience would have been enhanced by fresh beer, or travel to armenia itself, but its cool to get to try something like this. exotic

Pours a moderately dark amber with a generous head that quickly shrinks to nothing. Of moderate strength, the flavor is ok and quite quaffable. Match it with Armenian food for the best taste!
