Pours golden translucent beer with dense 3-finger white head, sour malt aroma with vegetable tones. Taste is dry malt quite similar to aroma, then aggressive hop dominates (that's the property of the brewery), leaving mild bitter aftertaste. Better than Kilikia Lager, but not essentially. It reminds me of dutch lagers such as Oranjeboom, but more hop.

Green paralel sided 50cl bottle with a strange neck, best before 19 Apr 2011 (I think), drank and reviewed 7 Mar 2011. Poured (three times) into a Veltins Pilsner glass.
Looked like any other lager/pilsner, golden and clean, on top the regular snowy white head, this one made of larger than normal bubbles and with some staying power.
Grainy smell and taste, couldn't take to it, too soft and boring, with a sickly feel in each mouthful.
I had to get some cheese to help me finish the first glass of beer, not good when that happens, still had two to go. A lesser man would have poured it down the sink, but I'm made of sterner stuff and hate wasting anything.
The beer was bought at a Russian shop in Antwerp, I'll not be getting another!

Picked up in a small grocery store in Yerevan, then hand-carried back to Vienna, the 33cl green bottle boasts a brown and gold bottle with printing in English and Russian (no Armenian). Apparently originally brewed to celebrate the 50th birthday of the brewery in 2002. Ingredients conform to the purity law. Bottled on 2/14/07, I opened it on 3/24/07.
Pours clear medium gold under a 1/2 finger white head that fades slowly and with some contour, leaving a few spots of lace. The nose is strong and skunky, full of cabbage. The mouth is light and quite prickly. It is tough to get past the nose, but the taste isn't bad There's a touch of sweet malt to start, then lots of strong German hops. The cabbage is there, but it is mild and somehow pleasant. The bitter is also mild, with the hops more spicey than harsh. It grows on you.

pours up a gold color with a decent white head. the nose is sweet malts, very malt liquor-esque. the taste is plain jane, cheap malts, cheap hops, cheap hookers, cheap beer. that should be a song. medium to full bodied, kinda like an Export Lager, low carbo, the intoxicating effect feels like the alky is at least 7%. weird

Pours a clear yellow with a foamy off-white head that settles to a film on top of the beer. A foamy latticework of lace coats the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, and a slightly funky aroma. Taste is much the same with a mild but odd grassy bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty poor beer and not very drinkable.
