I visited Sarah's Cafe for lunch and enjoyed good food, good brew. You may not find this place if you just look for a "Twin Schooner" sign, so look for Sarah's Cafe on the south side of Route 1, near the river. It's well worth stopping to visit.
The pub is off in a corner of the establishment, it's well-lighted, pleasant and open, with a medium sized bar and a few tables. When I was there, the offerings on tap were: Bud, Bud Light, Coors Light, Belfast Bay Lobster Ale, Smuttynose Portsmouth Lager, Sam Adams, Shipyard Export, Shipyard Summer Ale, New Harbor Lager (Sheepscot Brewing), Pemequid Ale (Sheepscot Brewing), Woodchuck Draft Cider, Fisherman's Brew, and maybe one more. That's at least 5 local-Maine draft beers, plus 3 more local regional beers. That's quite impressive. The selection of bottled beers was also decent.
The food at Sarah's is excellent, their calzones are my favorite. Good desserts also. Service was fine. Excellent view out to the Sheepscot River, while you drink local Sheepscot Brewing Company beers. It doesn't get much better than this. Highly recommended !
