Stopped here in my quest to find stores somewhat in my area that have a decent selection of beers (this is about 20 min away).
Wasn’t expecting much after reading a few of the more recent reviews. Yes, this isn’t the most upscale of areas, however, when I walked in I was greeted warmly. I meandered over to the beer section and was decently impressed by what I saw. As someone mentioned before, a downside is that most of the BMC is in the refrigerator while the craft is on the shelves. This is nothing new to be honest, though again, you’d rather it be kept cold. In any event, they had tons of Askew at only nine dollars a pop (sold out pretty much everywhere else and more expensive). In addition, they had a ton of old Anchor Christmas vintages (back to 1999). They were $2.50 a pop so I picked up one of each year I didn’t have. I don’t expect them to be good, but hell, might as well.
The selection was rather run of the mill overall, and to be honest I won’t make a trip here out of my way unless I randomly want to pick up some more vintage Anchor Christmas. But not a bad store overall.

Open warehouse and kinda dingy, maybe its just this part of town too. Found some stuff that shouldn't still be around, leading me to think that this place isn't hit up by too many beer geeks. This is good if you're looking for ageable stuff like the last bottle of choklat I found, not so good if it's a row of undated dreadnaught on the way top shelf (I took a chance anyway since everyone else including fff is out of that right now). Even saw rows of double trouble 4 packs which didn't even make it to the shelves at my local binnys. Service is basic. Definitely not an upscale place but you might make some good finds here. Prices were comparable to other area stores.

This store is a warehouse-style store off one of the main drags in Elmhurst. It is a small store, but is stacked high with beer.
Most of the craft beer and imports seem to be on the shelf warm and the crap beer is in the fridge.
The selection here is fairly larger, I found two beers here that I hadn't seen elsewhere in Chicago. However, these beers are predominantly old, quite old so the quality has to be bashed.
The service was fine but I didn't have any help in the beer selection.
It is an okay place but watch out, a lot of this beer is old.

This store is a nice little unassuming place with a decent selection and good prices. They have the regular lineup of American micros, all reasonable priced. However their foreign selection is expansive (albeit a little dusty) and they have the odd rareish beer or great bargain.
The last time I was there is picked up a '09 Yeti bomber for $7 and nabbed a four-pack of Old Raspy for under $7. Not that you'll find that every day, but this little store can surprise you, and the attentive and kind staff is just icing on the cake.

Headed here under the navigation of TMoney2591 on a whim. He had heard tale that it was a fairly decent store. He was very much so correct. The place looked a little dirty and everything was dusty, but that didn't mean that what was there was bad. They had vintages of some American stuff that I've not seen anywhere else in the area. It had all of the Anchor Steam Christmas beers from '99 for sale which I thought was cool. The people there were really very friendly and asked a couple of times if we needed help finding anything. Since we were browsing we declined. They definitely had a wonderful selection of American beers like I've not seen at many places in the area. They even had singles of some stuff. The best part was it was a buck or 2 cheaper for every item here than at most stores in the area. If you're in need and in the area stop on in, you won't be disappointed.
