Purchased at Monoprix in Angers.
This Beer Poured a light straw color with a very white head that dissipates slowly, fair amount of lacing. Aromas of smokiness meet the nose along with a grassy smell. Taste is that of the smell, slightly sweet and smokey, poor job of masking the alcohol content. All in all, somewhat unimpressed. This beer just doesn't really hit the mark in any category. It's plenty drinkable, but just no real standout. Worth trying, but definitely not a favorite.

11.2 ounce bottle served cold in glass beer challis.
A) Bright but hazy golden brew. Off white puffy head, settles quickly.
S) Sweet and tart citrus fruit with mild esters and hint of bitter hops.
T) Delicious and classic Belgian pale/blonde ale. Sweet and fruity. Hint of banana, apple and apricot. Refreshing
M) Ample, fine bottle conditioned carbonation. Smooth and drinkable.
O) Good example of this category. Hard to find...

France beer tour, #2
Poured chilled in small wine glass
A: dark blond color; good head, mix of bubble sizes;
S: slight yeast aroma, not all that inviting, like a (merely) strong lager
T: sweet lemon, banana, very light clove; strong Belgian-style yeast strain; complex and aggressive; it doesn't seem to me to be in style, but it has such teeth I have to give it props; very boozy, and obviously so
Wow, this is a doozy beer; drink at your own risk
