I bought a six pack of this beer about three months ago. This was before I found this website. I was very excited to try my first Chili beer. I still have one in the fridge that I have not mustered up enough manhood to drink.
Wow! I guess I should have read some of the reviews before purchasing six. One is enough. It is a good beer to share with a few friends who are adventurous enough. When I say 'share', I mean share 1 beer with three or four people. It could also be a good beer to dare someone to drink. My girlfriend might use it to marinate chicken.
For real, anyone who likes this beer has my full respect. You are WAY tougher than I could ever be. Hey, I like hot sauce on just about everything. I'm talking pizza, eggs, fried chicken, hamburgers, you name it. But, evidently, not in my beer. The taste lingers, so I imagine if you like the flavor, you will love it. If you do not, then you won't love it. I fall in the later category.

Hey it looked cool with that pepper in it. Tempting even. The beer tasted like the pepper and the pepper tasted like beer. Yes. We ate the worm and the pepper. Usually mild and the soft texture was palatable. The pepper leads to the blue agave.
They were a novelty beer and I bought them occasionally. They were also available at Mexican Restaurant I liked.
It wasn't the same after Cave Creek. Definitely an early craft beer for me. Years ago 1990 something. When you drank Coors Light all the time it was craft like an Anchor Steam.

First off it's not as bad or as hot as the ghostface killah beer (I could'nt even finish that one). This beer is at least drinkable (to a degree) but not really enjoyable unless you're a hardcore spice lover, and as much as i love spice and spicy foods, spicy just doesn't mix well with a beer. It's good for the novelty but nothing else.

Best by August 2014. What have I done.
Pours a pale gold color with pepper sediment and yeast sediment both. No head at all.
Aroma of jalapeno and light cereal.
Flavor is a whole lot of nothing, and then a huge pepper burn. Like liquid fire. There's really no flavor, just slight substance. It's not a complete fail, but it is indeed pretty awful. Took a bite of the jalapeno and it tastes like a green bean.
Feel has some sort of mouthfeel to it, but I can't really pin it down. It's like a 1% milk heaviness, but with a lot of carbonation and heat. Hmph.
Overall, it's not the vomit fest I thought it would be, but it's still a pretty bad beer overall. The stuff of nightmares.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass with a chili pepper floating in the brew
Appearance – The beer pours a clear golden amber color with a one finger head of white foam. The head fades very fast leaving just a trace of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is massive of a hot pepper smell mixed with some other aromas of a light caramel nature as well as a little bit of a bread.
Taste – The taste begins with a light bready and caramel taste mixed with a hot pepper taste. The hot pepper taste gets even stronger as the taste advances and is met with some other black pepper tastes, all while the bready and the sweet get even lighter in flavor. In the end with the increase in the heat and with a loss of the bready and the caramel, a very watery hot pepper taste is left on the tongue.
Mouthfeel-The body of the brew is very thin with a carbonation level that is rather average to slightly on the lower side. A higher carbonation level would have certainly been better for the spicy tastes to help keep them from overwhelming the light tastes of the brew.
Overall – This was not a very pleasant beer in my mind. I actually couldn’t even finish it which is super rare. I would certainly recommend to stay away from this one.

Appearance: golden body with lots of fizz and foam on pour; no head retention at all. Oh, and it has a pepper in it
Smell: smells like a pilsner with just enough pepper smell to notice it. Reminds me of a chili relleno smell at a restaurant. Not that bad, actually.
Taste: I'm scared from the reviews. Here goes...Fairly smooth, refreshing, citrusy pilsner flavor to it, with some, but not a lot of pepper flavor; the heat starts to kick in pretty quickly, but it's not overpowering at all. It's about as much heat as a good bar of chili chocolate. I'm actually pleasantly surprised at how refreshing it is. As it warms up, the pepper's vegetal flavor starts to come through.
Mouthfeel: fairly thin overall, which is expected; but smooth and balanced.
Remarks: It think it's much better than some folks are saying. Maybe it has a short shelf life and they got an old one. I'm not saying it's an award winner, but heck, I'd buy it again, just for the conversation aspect.
