From 10/29/13 notes. Had this on tap at The Jeffrey in NYC. 14 oz. pour in a tulip for $7 at their Flying Dog night.

a - Pours a somewhat murky dark amber-red color with two inches of fluffy off white head and moderate carbonation evident. Looks like the Simcoe Single Hop beer I just had but redder and murkier.

s - Smells of apples, cinnamon, spices, apple cider, spices, and fruity malts. Very sweet and cider-like; I like it.

t - Tastes of fruity malts, apple cider, spices, bready malts, toasted malts, nutmeg. Taste has a tiny bit less apple than the nose had and is a little less sweet, but good.

m - Light to medium body and moderate carbonation. Little bit sweet, very easy to drink.

o - Overall this beer will not be for everyone, but I liked it quite a bit. Very cider-like, as to be expected, and especially in the nose. If you like fruit beers and cider, would definitely check this out.

Had on tap at Max's during BBW 2013 (from notes).

A: Looks like a decent cider.

S: Sweet and crisp. Orchard. Cidery. Wet apple.

T: Lots of apple with a faint spice background. Very refreshing. Crisp. Clean.

M: Prickly. Fair amount of carbonation.

O: One of the better rarities. I love cider (into it before beer) and have been to Distillery Lane Ciderworks, which makes a bunch of great ciders. This is much better than DFH's Positive Contact.
