There's something about showcasing a single hop in a hoppy ale which attracts beer lovers. I'm one of the victims. Here's comes 12 ounces. On to the beer:

An inch of soapy suds rests on top this candied orange beer. The retention of the head is very good, biut the mounds of lace it gives off around the chalice is eye candy. One smell shows how potent the liquid can be, very strong and hoppy, albeit with rough edges. It smells sweet with resin, bittersweet grass trimmings, spicy alcohol, vegetal.

The rough edges of the aroma have been given a sanded edge. It's a little smoother than I was expecting, though at 10% ABV this is no picnic. It's still hoppy enough to respect. It starts of sweet and resiny. Then the bitterness hits and seems to briefly numb the palate. Grapefruit with a dusting of sugar comes around. A little of the alcohol shows itself, though the beer does manage to possess some drinkability for its size. Bitter with a bite of toffee and grapefruit in the aftertaste.

A reasonable Imperial IPA that can grow hair on your chest.

Best before 8/12/14.

Pours a murky honey orange with a foamy orange-tan head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, brown sugar, and citrus zest aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus zest and herbal hop flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of hop bitterness and an alcohol kick on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is quite hoppy and boozy in the taste.
