Once again, I was turned away by hokey-ass labels.
This is a really good beer. Probably the most controllable pour I have ever experienced. You want a thick head? It pours a thick head and stops dead short of the the finish line. You want a medium-sized head? Same deal. It's a good looking head too--espresso thick (speaks volumes about the grain bill). Body is beautiful APA.
The "scent of an American micro" tickles the nasal passages, and hop arousal takes over as the beautifully tangy and sappy hops just squish all about in the middle palette after being led to the dance floor by dextrine-sweet crystal malts. A great balance working here.
Just like the pour, you can take this taste anywhere you want it to go. Drive it down the fairway for a bitter hop snap, or squish it out the sides for a sweet floral finish.
The choice is yours.
