Bottle:
Pours a little deep in color, dark golden, but with a wonderful amount of head that lasts and laces.
Nose isn't much, I get a little cardboard, almost, but maybe some hints of light citrus, general bitter notes, and maybe a touch of honey.
Taste start with a little bit of fruit sweetness, and a moderate amount of carbonation. The carbonation fades as a familiar American hop profile starts to take hold. The body is a tad heavy for a lager, but that's fine. As the beer warms, the fruity sweetness eats longer into the sip, and the hops take hold later.
Overall, this seems like a little sweeter version of a session IPA. With the colder swigs, I could see me thinking it was one. The hops seem to become less prominent as the beer warms, however, which seems a little odd for an IPA. Still a nice beer.

Love this style (although calling a 6.3% lager "imperial" might be a bit of a stretch). Great light hops to the nose, a nice fruitiness to it. A bit of dirty malt in there as well, more than I might expect in a bigger lager. Really enjoyed this one - would get it again.
